Oh Hoss, you'd be SO surprised! Our plant even has an "Ergonomics Officer" and he'll approve the purchase of virtually ANYTHING in name of ergonomics.. (what a WA$TE!)
BTW, our controlroom operators are absolute death on ANY "ergonomic" chairs.. The more expensive, the quicker they crap out... The ones that last the longest were some early 80's Steelcase lo-rise chairs with a one-piece moulded outside shell witn integrally cast arms. (UGGGGLYYY!) It swivels and has a time-tested cast-iron tilt-spring mechanism that the go-rilla's have not been able to destroy yet.
The latest abortion that has been purchased for the control room looks just like a DENTIST'S CHAIR!!! It was WELL over $1395! and is NOT the most expensive piece of junk purchased to sit on.
It won't last long... It is already taking on a pronounced "list" to one side and it's only been there since the first part of Sept.

Just so you know, a cheap chair and a good wire feed welder can make any chair indestructable. If I break it now, it will be because I have parked my truck on it!

Notice the LACK of welding credintials in my sig... Is was the craps getting that paint off to weld it. That chair better be glad I didn't have any 6011 to weld with or I'd have burned it clean up!
I knew there would be some comment on my welding...since I didn't wire brush it clean or anything. POP POP!!
