Here's a picture of the Steiger and grain cart I took one night a few years ago. 9660 JD Combine with a 12 row head in the back.
Cart holds 1,040 bushel struck and it's got an extension under the tarp. Most we've had on it was just under 72,000 pounds. Tractor weighs 30. Cart probably weighs 20.
Spray rig. I spend a lot of time on the old Foreman 400.
Steiger with the old strip tiller. Pulled a caddy behind it for fertilizer. Was replaced by an Orthman 1-tripper this year.
300 horse at the flywheel. Only part of the 4020 taller than the tires is the stacks and maybe the steering wheel.
It can carry a 3-pt mounted planter. Hence being called a 1-tripper. Strip til, inject fertilizer, and plant in 1 trip across the field. It's heavy enough if you don't set it down before unhooking, it will rip the jack right off the side of the tongue.
16 row (brand new) no-til planter I pulled for 3 years. Too clumsy, moved back to 12 rows to match the combine and I can get more done in less time with the smaller planter.
Actually had a couple hawks that weren't afraid of the tractor last week. One was trying to snag something under the corn stalks and leaves and such and I pulled up, got the phone out, starting filming, and started moving again before it flew off. The other I drove right up beside, I think it had ahold of a snake, it hopped out of the way of the dual, then had to hop out of the way of the machine but he flew off without his snack instead.

I've told the boss I'd use the 4020 for everything if I could get away with it. First one I've ever run and it's the handiest tractor on the place.
If you're ever out this way let me know, stop in during summer and we'll stick you on a bike to spray thistle and see the sights.

Well, got the fridge put back together. Checked the batteries in the boat and topped off the electrolyte. Should be good for the summer. Checked the wheel bearings and brakes. DW brought up about 200 lbs of gear and tackle out of the basement and loaded er up. Put her back in the shed, ready to go except for a tank of gas.
Took a nap in the sun this afternoon. Felt pretty good. Last year on this date we had a few inches of snow.
See ya next break room.

NE-Thanks for the pics and the offer!
Rainy day today. Not much going to happen i hope. Kinda plan on resting after the last week. Sounds like it was a success, so in the end, it was worth it. I kinda am looking forward to the NCIC audit to see how many people I ran in the last 3 or 4 days.
