Dyno fail

this is what happens when you don't strap the vehicle correctly (in their case AT ALL on the front) onto the dyno

On that second one, the guy in the car saved the day but probably cost them new seats.

thats why we have so many warning labels. common sense does not exist and longer. the reason for labels is due to some idiot actually doing it and sueing the manufacture

I also never complained about going to dyno events and the guys taking time to setup the straps.. It looks harmless, but if your truck is at peak power and rolling 60 MPH and the straps let go, you won't stop like that little hot rod..

we had a 06 megacab at our dyno 2 years ago lay down nearly 1k hp and broke a strap. the metal ratchet broke in half. dyno operator and he were laying on the brakes pretty hard. truck rolled off the rollers and filled the shop full of tire smoke. people scattered pretty fast.

If you think two will do the trick, use four. It takes another two minutes to set em up, and two months to fix the damage if they break.

Or a lifetime pinning some bystander to the wall.

I don't understand how you will use 4 straps to haul a truck on a trailer but only use 2 to hold it down to the dyno???? I was gritting my teeth at an outdoor even a couple years ago here where they were using just 2 straps. The trucks were lurching forward on the rolls and with larger tires, just about reaching the metal structure in front of the rolls. A little bobble in the power or dip in the load and I'm sure that tire would touch and pull the whole thing off the rolls. Its not a simple thing and now that its more common, getting a little too complacent.
