DVD burning help

I'm working on putting a lot of miniDV movies onto dvd format.
Only problem is that I can't get the right format to watch them in a regular DVD player.

I'm using Windows Movie Maker and am very new to this.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

You have to "author" a DVD to make it work in a standalone DVD player.
Go to afterdark.com for all the help you could ever hope for.I have been using "DVDFlik" which is a free program to author my DVDs and know ahead of time that it is a slow process. It takes hours to do.I am sure that there are some enterprise programs that will speed it up some but DVDFlik will do the job.Ron G

You can also use NERO to do it. that is what i use. Like Pentastar said it is a slow process though.

and once you get it. MPEG 2 is about as uncompressed and high quality as you can go on those, typically at least.
