i saw it last night and it was an entertaining movie...........as far as hogg be'n fat or wahtever..............i think if they tried to replicate the charaters too much it would have just made the movie suck. they did have a good selection of todays actors to fill the parts and mind sets of the original characters though.
jessica simpson...........mmmmmmm, enough said
again it was entertaining and iwould recommend it, if you want more comedy, i'd go see wedding crashers, thats funny!

Couple of things that stike me as odd/lack of continuity with the TV series.
Boss Hogg - was short, fat and bald. Doesn't appear that way in the movie w Burt Reynolds.
Daisy - was a brunette in the TV show and. Appeared smarter than the blondie in the movie.

From what I've seen of the movie (commercials and "news" shows about it)
pretty much anything (fence posts, trees, tire tracks, etc) appears "smarter" than the "blond" in the movie.
I'll wait until it comes on Cable.......then find something else to do that night.

I saw the D of H movie last night. I was quite entertained.
I thought J.S, was very, very hot.
I thought they sort of went out of their way to make the characters EVEN MORE redneck?
All in all it was very good.

I thought it was going to be pretty dumb but I found it entertaining. For those of you that are torn on watching it at the theaters I would say go check it out.

they were never such bad rednecks
the general lee's doors were suppose to be welded shut
boss hog is supposed to be fat
rosco is suppose to be an idiot
the list goes on and on...
Horrible remake of a tv classic..
They might as well bring I Love Lucy back and put christina aguilera in as Lucy with snoop dogg as Ricky ricardo.

They filmed alot of that movie up here by me, left skid marks everywhere!!! They had a hauler with like 5 or 6 of the General Lees just beggin to be driven!!!
Kinda reminds me of my next wife

to the guys who have already seen it, would you recommend taking a mentally handicapped adult (appitude of a 7 year old) to see it? He watches the old series every day like clockwork and begs, "when are we going to see it at the movies? I don't want to miss it."
I'd hate to have to tell him no on account of too much sexual inuendo or because the Duke boys curse, lie or steal. He emulates what he see's so we have to be careful.
