fun day was awesome, even got smokin' good Bar b q!!! back home to switch out the brush hog for backhoe/grapple and tackle logs tomorrow- gore-geous day!
we are going to tag team the logs: secure with the grapple and pull out like pick up sticks, hubby will cut 36 inch sections to split later. logs were stacked perpendicular to work site in between two trees. truck driver thought he was doing us a favor I guess, Bless his heart (y'all DO know the real Southern meaning of that term, right?!) this is problem solving as most heavy logs are about eight feet off the ground. hubby used the one ton dodge to pull off some logs (awesome 'here hold my beer' type scene) but this is a more controlled way....says the wife/boss/insurance explainer...
hey Jeff-wyododge, you will like the results for the calf rings- less health issues too, dairy herds here use them religiously.
just keep them away from chaikwa.....he wears them on the weekends.

After noon to you folks East of the Pacific. It's cool we have our own time zone that we don't have to share. The termination dust is on the mountains around Anchorage and the temperatures are dropping fast. My PITA is out on its test flight and only hope I don't have to see it again. If it snows, It goes back to corporate in the lower 48. Hopefully, our new toy will be ready to pick up then. I love a free ride.

I wish I was as fine, as those who work the pipeline!
Hey all,
Had a surprise frost last night... maters are not happy. We may have lost the whole crop . No mention of a frost warning until this morning when the frost was already there. We are just sick, this was the first year that we were actually gonna have a tomato crop... Go figure.
Off to the neighbors to turn hay, no wind and no rain in the forecast, of course I am not really that confident of the forecasters around here any more. I guess we'll just have to roll the dice.
Ya'll have a great afternoon!!

There is no G. There is no G. Repeat after me, THERE IS NO G!
I ran out, literally, with the dog for a morning run. But I have been thinking of waffles all day long now. Might have to at least whip up a batch of pancakes just so I can pour syrup on something.
Frost? We just finally got cooler weather and yall are in frost? Sorry 'bout your maters. Hope some can pull through for you.
I finished up in the garage for the day about 3pm and have been chillin' with my beers since. I'm wiped. I'm happy. I'm going to go to Heidi's for bbq.

hey Cougar, I am thinking you are talking of a plane PITA, not your wife...lol
do you still have to do complete tear downs after 300 hours or annually? i understood the 25 year old cessnas....not anything newer...
hate when that happens Jeff, yeah just plan your own thing. we have had better luck with a weather app on hubby's smart phone.....
huge circular slow storm over cincyeric ohio....wonder what he has done....
whoops, hey quiet girl! didn't hear ya run in....(good for you for running ANYWHERE in Tx heat) yeah, c'mon and sip the cold beer.......
Bar b Q is smoked turkey with pulled pork on top, monterey jack cheese melt on top of it all.
I am a tennessee sucker for greens and beans , so that is all slow cooked to the side with onions, lil ham and spiced just right with cider vinegar, dry mustard.....done died and went to heaven....

Thanks for filling in with the history Jeff. Spotty internet here at the $200/night hotel unless you pay extra for it.
I hate waffles.

Well, you can stay home and pout or join the nut eating crowd and visit.
Jeff, sorry about the tomatoes.

you have never met my husband. and this is/was about twelve feet up then...25 big logs, 7 high. he doesn't think,he just does... and work site is only about 20 feet wide then 55 mph road. hence mama saying uuuhh, no. I'll get the tractor.
well, cat brought mouse in. good kitty. went to get the mouse after five minutes of it laying in front of me and it jumped up and ran into my recliner....Bark isn't the only one with dance moves.
got flashlight, tore that chair up! vacuumed the last dime outta that thing too! looked everywhere, other furniture, cat ready to pounch- nothing.
took the friggin chair almost apart, hubby calls me from outside. mouse was in vacuum cyclone cylinder. still alive. took it for a swim.....
wide awake now. stupid cat.

I do the same thing he does. I just calculate quickly. Can't say I've ever had a folly because of it. Stuff like that, just takes a good mechanic. Haste doesn't always make waste. I mean it's not like I have a gloch and a croud and have to figure out who to shoot first. Certainly not the cat
