What the heck was I thinking? Coffee made by an old-school Marine. Guess I was just excited to be the first one to spill coffee in the new clean break room.
Hat: This isn't a combat zone brother...You don't have to re-use the grounds from your last break room...

Morning DTR

Looking forward to the winds of change here soon. My replacement is currently attended pre-deployment training and should be here shortly. I'll be working my return airflow schedule sometime this week and trying to write down what I've been doing for the last five-odd months because I sure as heck know I'm going to forget something, and it won't be a little something either.

Alright...off to the world of bureaucrats. Gotta write decorations for the folks I supervise and for some reason, it's not good enough to just accurately and eloquently state what you did and how it impacted the mission.

Take care y'all...cath up with ya in a bit!

-Adam

(Ya know...now that I can't feel the roof of my mouth, or my tongue for that matter, Hat's coffee isn’t half bad. Guess I'll grab me another cup as I run out the door )

Morning/afternoon/evening Mark.
Starting week three of retirement. Beard growing well but with a lot more gray than what's in my avitar. Done more physical work in the last three weeks than what I've been able to do in the last year. Most of the soreness is worked out now. An 18 oz framing hammer combined with 1500 or so pole barn nails will do that for you. Good thing beer is good for muscle aches. Ceiling joists and rafters going up today.
Another beautiful sunrise here in the middle of Arkansas. Upper 50's expected. Wife heading out to see if any more babies arrived last night.

Shortround (retired) out

Morning all ....

Poked my head in because I smelled fresh coffee .... still scratching my head as to why the swab bucket smells fresher than the coffee pot though .

Shortround is looking like a "distinguished" Grizzly Adams. I hear ya on the beard color, brother .... mine did the same thing. It just shows you where your true roots are ... NAVY HAZE GRAY !!!

Adaminak .... I always found that writing awards for your people is sure a lot easier than being forced to write your own evaluations (aka: writing fiction) !! You'll do a great write-up and recognize them for the hard work and dedication ... I always enjoyed that the most.

Well ... one cup down ...

Late evening, all...

Not too much rolling. Just got back from dinner and a little bar down the road that is owned by a Marine that got out and stayed here.

Bruce, I cannot imagine retirement... good luck with that...

Yeah, you did ... what about us folks that enjoy something a bit healthier such as tacos and goat milk with our coffee?

Morning all. Another wonderful day down here. This is the time of year when we go outside and can't imagine how the weather could get any better. Almost every day I remember that for once in my life I made a good decision and moved away from the ice, snow, cold and associated yukky stuff.

Mornin' all!

I see the coffee in here hasn't changed. It wil; still desolve a spoon if you let it sit in there very long. Good thing I have some battery terminal that need cleaning.

Only about 0* overnight here should make for a good day out. The sun is starting to get a bit of heat in it durring the day. I'll probly work on clearing the hardpack off the driveway again.

Adam- Good to see that your comming into the homestrech. Keep you head down though.

Good afternoon DTR. Nice and sunny today, little chilly but nice. Had a good day yesterday. Ran around with a friend yesterday morning, he had to get some big truck parts and was going to get his windows tinted but the wait was too long at the tint shop. We worked on his dads semi for a few hrs in the afternoon, we rebushed the suspension. It was a job him and I have done one a ton of KW's with air ride.

Spent the evening with the GF. I grilled me a t-bone and her two medium sized fillets. She only at one so the leftover will make it into some chilli this week. Steamed some red taters and seasoned them with garlic and parsely, made some beef rice, and had corn. Dinner was very good, she was very happy. I probably spent a good $$$ for everything but it was alot better than trying to beat the crowds for dinner. We went out to the pub a little later and sat with some friends for a couple drinks and chatted.

Doing absolutely nothing today.

Hat, thanks for the sweet tea, it'll go down good this afternoon. I'll join you and Josh later today for some beer drinking.
