ok, time for more chainsaw talk...
I suspect its tuneup time on my husky.
I have run probably a gallon and half of fuel thru it, but I have no idea how many hours of actual run time. The air filter is looking a bit dirty but not what I would call "bad". the saw has been running fine all day and started acting up a little while ago after running for a while. The saw will idle, but will bog and stall when I pull the trigger. when it cools off, I will check the spark plug.
Any ideas?

IS IT RUNNING SMOTH IN THE BAR -NO BURN SPOTS ON BAR-OR BURS ?

Afternoon all. Had some Jack in the box...aka..dirty box today.

It isn't treating me so well. I had some of their toothpaste tacos. Oh man.

I don't think I'm going out tonight. I need a break.

I got distracted. Lemme go pull the plug
I have seen dirtier air filters, just dont know how tolerant a small engine is of dirty air filters.
Blade and bar aren't showing anything that I can tell. the chain was about as tight as I usually run it. the saw would stall before I even touched wood. just sitting there, it would idle, but start to rev and it would bog and die.
On a side note, this is the hottest day I have run the saw.

ok, I got a look at the plug, there is some carbon build up around the outside near the threads, but the ground strap and electrode are all the dull brown carbon that is normal.

Are You Sure That No One Has Used The Saw Gas And Replaced It Not Realising That It Neaded Oil ?
Clean The Air Cleaner And Dry It Good And Give It A Try
Still Realy Consurned About Oil Though - I`ve Had This Happen- Had To Replace Piston & Cyl.
IF THE SAW IS RIGHT YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO USE IT AT 90 TO 100 DEGRES -IF YOU WANT TO

the gas has a nice blue tint to it from the husky brand synthetic oil.
I can dump the fuel in the tank and try again. It should be good fuel, I got it just before I went to WI and have run one tank full without problems.

WELL I DON`T EITHER - IVE TAKEN THEM APART AND REPLACED PARTS PUT THEM BACK TO GEOTHER - BUT JUST USING COMMON SENSE ON WHAT I DOING - WAS IT DONE RIGHT - I DONE KNOW -BUT IT WORKED
2CYCLES ARE AN ANIMAL OF THEIR OWN.
JUST SOUNDS LIKE THERE IS SOMETHING DRAGING -2 CYCLES DONT MAKE FUNNY LITTLE NOISES LIKE 4 CYCLES -SO THER HARDER TO DIGIONOSE FOR ME.
GOOD LUCK WITH IT - I KNOW IT BUMMED ME OUT WHEN SOME ONE SWITCHED GAS ON ME - ONLY TOOK ONE TANK TO SCORE PISTON & CYL.
