Venison Fajitas are good. Wish I had some venison in the freezer still. I've had bbq squirrel before, was pretty good. Friend that made it had a good home made bbq sauce to put on it. The meat didn't taste gamey at all, and stay fairly tender. I plan on some small game hunting next season. Get some rabbit, squirrel, and pheasant to keep in the freezer.
I don't even wanna know!
Josh, the fajitas were very good! I marinated the sirloin meat in oil, tequilla (Had a shot of it for myself too), lime juice, salt, pepper, garlic, soy sauce, and cilantro. removed the steak, sliced thin and cook them up with fresh cilantro, onions, green peppers, crushed red pepper, salt, and some oil. I also made Pico de gallo to go with the fajitas and the chips. We ate good tonight, I'm full now and have gas.
Evening DTR. relaxing and having a beer.

My folks as with most of my family are in Texas, so breaking wind is not a problem. I hear you what you are saying though. I live in a small town (6500 now) but work in the city. Makes me appreciate where I live every time i come home.

small town? The population of this town is only about 2500 and has been for as long as I can remember. I still associate with a few people there. Their life consist of fishing the same fishing holes we have fished since we were 2, hunting the same mountains we have hunted since we were 8. making beer runs that we have done since we were 14 or so. and renting the same movies over and over.
When I left, I moved to a city of about 80K and fell in love with the anonymity. I could break wind and mom wasn't finding out before I finished. Since then I have settled into a town of about 10K surrounded by woods and cattle ranches. I can hunt and fish, and thankfully, I have seen a bigger world than what some of my running buddies have ever seen....

I'd love to live in a small town of 10k or less. The one I live in has about 30k people. In the surrounding are of my city (3 counties) we have about 700k people and then Chicago/ Cook County has about 5 million, the surrounds counties in IL near Chicago have alot too. I live one the eastern edge of the chicago suburbs, actually in the country a little. Still WAY too many people for me cause if i wanna go to the store I have to go where the people are. I'd hate to live in the big city with several million people, heck 30k in my town is too much for me.
I have lived in the city my whole life, albeit on the far outreaches, but it's still busier than hell. I hate it. If I have half a mind I'll get out of here. Once I get my commission, I hope to get stationed in the middle of BFE. Maybe next to hat, I gotta keep my eye on him.
I like the way you operate, Tim.

Was very good.
When I marinade the meat (About 2 lbs +/-) I let is sit in the fridge for about 2 hrs( steak, cilantro, lime juice, soy sauce(or maggi seasoning), onion, garlic, 3 shots of silver tequila(2 for food, one for you), salt, pepper, oil. Remove the steaks from the marinade and slice into 1/4" wide strips. Quarter a large white or yellow onion, about a hand full of chopped cilantro, seed and slice one large green bell pepper, and add some oil to a pan. Start to saute for a min then add the meat, a little soy sauce for flavor (or Maggi seasoning if you have it), 2 shots of silver tequila (one for the food and one for you), crushed red pepper to taste, lime juice, salt and pepper. I cook my steak till its still a little pink and tender.
Its not gonna taste like regular fajitas, i don't like regular fajita seasonings so I came up with my own. It also easy stress with a couple shots of tequila. Play with the recipe too, add or take away things. Next time i make it I'm gonna leave out the soy sauce and add some hot peppers to the mix. The soy gave it a little sweet kick but still had some heat due to the crushed red pepper. Might even add some cummin to it too.

metropolitan areas have nothing for kids to do. but if you get in too small of a town, the opportunities to do something aren't there.
Like some others have said, there are more people in Houston, than OK.
I drove from Chicago to Milwaukee last week and never felt like I got out of town. the suburbs there are nice, but you end up having to go so far to do anything and even farther without people around.
I liked WY last time I was there, but its an hour drive to the next town.

THe GF and I plan on moving out in to the country somewhere in the next few years. We're going to have a house together in the sticks after we get married. Once she gets her time in at work she plans on look for an agency position in the company. She's like to have her own agency or work in the coporate part doing claims and adjustments or HR. We both have look at moving out west then to either Texas, Colorado, New Mexico or Arizona. Its better for her health to be out there and better for my sanity.

I went through WY about 3 yrs ago, I loved it out there. Gotta be one of the prettiest states I've been through. People were all nice and it was very wide open.

Chicago and its suburbs suck, been here all my life and it get tiring and old with the crowds and traffic. You can drive on I-94 from Portage IN to Milwaukee WI and it will see as if you never left the city. There is plenty for kids to do here... if they consider the mall fun. I actually never had a problem keeping myself occupied, always project to do with dad, working on friends cars or trucks, drag racing, shooting, fishing, and farming. Some of my friend when i was younger didn't care for that stuff, they had to have video games and the mall.
