I agree with you, Scott. Enough bull around here all ready. Then they get that sheepish look on their face. Crazee. Oh yeh, HI Scott.

Another day going down in the books. Just finished helping the plumber with the neighbors house. He is going blind and went to West Palm Beach to a clinic for macular degeneration today. So, truck runs over his water supply and water is shooting everywhere. So, called a plumber and had it fixed so they would have water when they get home. Neat couple. Just need some help since he can't see to stuff anymore - - drives him crazee.

Watching Beck - - this guy digs up some stuff no one else will touch. Quite a character - - too bad the other majors are afraid to say some of this stuff. Oh yeh, that's another forum. Sorry.

OK, going off of here for the night. Be good - - see ya tomorry.

Bob

Evening all.

Had my first court appearance today. Nothing really happened. I was assigned a public defender and another court date to return to. Was kind of hoping everything would be said and done today. But I guess not.

On my tuesday class, American Cultural History, I have it one day a week. Last week was the first day, and this week I have a 6 page annotated bibliography due. Good stuff. It's nicely done. So now I'm drinking a beer enjoying some baseball.

Hope all is well

Josh

I AM NOT GRUMPY!

Good morning people. Time to stop making excuses and get out of bed.

Today is September 1st.

On this day in 1799 - The Bank of Manhattan Company opened in New York City, NY. It was the forerunner of Chase Manhattan.

1807 - Former U.S. Vice President Aaron Burr was found innocent of treason.

1810 - The first plow with interchangeable parts was patented by John J. Wood.

1859 - The Pullman sleeping car was placed into service.

1878 - Emma M. Nutt became the first female telephone operator in the U.S. The company was the Telephone Dispatch Company of Boston.

1884 - The Thomas A. Edison Construction Department and the Edison Company for Isolated Lighting merged.

1887 - Emile Berliner filed for a patent for his invention of the lateral-cut, flat-disk gramophone. It is a device that is better known as a record player. Thomas Edison made the idea work.

1894 - A forest fire in Hinckley, MN, killed more than 400 people.

1897 - The first section of Boston's subway system was opened.

1905 - Saskatchewan and Alberta became the ninth and tenth provinces of Canada.

1923 - About 100,000 people were killed when an earthquake hit Tokyo and Yokohama, Japan.

1939 - World War II began when Germany invaded Poland.

1942 - A federal judge in Sacramento, CA, upheld the wartime detention of Japanese-Americans as well as Japanese nationals.

1945 - The U.S. received official word of Japan's formal surrender that ended World War II. In Japan, it was actually September 2nd.

1951 - The ANZUS Treaty, a mutual defense pact, was signed by the U.S., Australia and New Zealand.

No gun needed.. Just a sheep with a "rear door trap" properly placed should do the trick.

I did that once... people here complained that I 'wasn't myself', and that it 'was weird'. So I can't win.
