Now where'd I put my drink at again?
Evening Josh.
Evening DTR. Hay is all done. Cooked out at my friends tonight after we got done. He's gonna haul the 30 round bales, we did this afternoon, tomorrow morning.
Enjoying a few cold ones tonight and sleeping in a little tomorrow morning. Gonna wash the truck in the AM and then go help my friends dad work on his semi.

Makes sense to put the nuts back into the trees.
Morning all. The coffee, tea and ph00 is hot an' ready! Donuts are all gone, but there's some pineappleupsidedown cake that someone left on the table and it doesn't even have much green fuzz on it yet!
Today is Saturday, September 5th.
On this day in 1774 - The first session of the U.S. Continental Congress convenes in Philadelphia. The delegates drafted a declaration of rights and grievances, organized the Continental Association, and elected Peyton Randolph as the first president of the Continental Congress. Let the corruption begin!
1836 - Sam Houston was elected as the first president of the Republic of Texas.
1881 - The American Red Cross provided relief for disaster for the first time. The disaster was the Great Fire of 1881 in Michigan.
1905 - The Treaty of Portsmouth was signed by Russia and Japan to end the Russo-Japanese War. The settlement was mediated by U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt in New Hampshire.
1914 - The Battle of the Marne began. The Germans, British and French fought for six days killing half a million people.
1917 - Federal raids were carried out in 24 cities on International Workers of the World (IWW) headquarters. The raids were prompted by suspected anti-war activities within the labor organization.
1939 - The U.S. proclaimed its neutrality in World War II.
1945 - Iva Toguri D'Aquino was arrested. D'Aquino was suspected of being the wartime radio propagandist "Tokyo Rose". She served six years before being pardoned by U.S. President Ford.
1953 - The first privately operated atomic reactor opened in Raleigh, NC.
Have a Saturday!

Have fun there, I'm doing the other end, a funeral.
It used to be upsidedown. It looked like the green frosting was melting so I turned it over. Now it's walking out the door. OMG!!!!!! It's alive!!! HELP!!!

Rather slow in here today.
No coffee made.
Someone turned my upsidedowncake upside down.
Oh well, what can ya do?
Sawed 448 board feet of red oak lumber today, all from one log. At .45/BF, that netted me a whopping $201 for the day. Better than nothing I guess, but what a fight I had with that log! Didn't want to turn, didn't want to stay still once I got it turned, and the 1 1/2" X 7" X 16 foot lumber I was sawing off it was HEAVY.
Well, that was MY day, what's everyone else up to?

Evening DTR
Cool pics Scott, we used to have a sawmill. The house I grew up in (Dads place) is all made from red cypress that we logged out of the swamps on family land. We had a mill with a 52" circular blade (stationary) and the log was on a trolly system. Powered by a 6 cylinder Minneapolis Moline. Finally fell into dispair. We hadnt sawed on it in probably 20 yrs. Well I never did saw on it, was too young, but was always around when Dad was sawing.
Not much going on over on this end. Watching a little TV with the wife and kid. Got a brisket marinating in the fridge gonna get smoked and qued for Labor Day.
Weather was bad this afternoon, rained, And on opening day too.... Oh well, might get to shoot at a few tomorrow.
Gonna get up early in the morning and start tearing up Dads '02. Got an AirDog150 were gonna put on, this will be my first one.
Might get on a bit later see if anyone is around, if not, see yall in the A.M.
