OK, I'm still stuffed, so I am going to bed - - only had about 4 hours sleep last night and it is catching up with me tonight. Sleep tight, gang.

One of the Canadians checking in. No Thanksgiving here. Remember what I said yesterday about hugging your friends and family onThanksgiving yesterday. Well that prophesy came close to coming true. My wife darn near lost her Dad today. Apparently when you are 77 yrs old, your were a coal miner and a pressure vessel welder for your working years, a combination of COPD and pneumonia is a bad thing. Even the paramedics were scared. He is at the hospital and stable now and we seem to have dodged a bullet for now. 3 weeks ago was the 2 yr anniversary of my own mom's death, we aren't ready to do the 'bury a parent' thing again anytime soon.
Enjoy your Thanksgiving and have lots of good food, good drinks and most importantly good family and friend times.

1850 - Texas relinquished one-third of its territory in exchange for $10 million from the U.S. to pay its public debts and settle border disputes.
1867 - Alfred Nobel patented dynamite.
1936 - The Anti-Comintern Pact, an agreement between Japan and Germany, was signed.
1955 - In the U.S., the Interstate Commerce Commission banned racial segregation on interstate trains and buses.
1957 - U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower suffered a stroke.
1985 - Ronald W. Pelton was arrested on espionage charges. Pelton was a former employee of the National Security Agency. He was later convicted of 'selling secrets' to Soviet agents.
1986 - U.S. President Reagan and Attorney Gen. Edwin Meese revealed that profits from secret arms sales to Iran had been diverted to rebels in Nicaragua. National Security Advisor John Poindexter resigned and Oliver North was fired.

Just got in from therapy - - boy that gal knows how to make a grown man wimper. How can she find those sore spots so quick and she is a little skinny thing - - how can she have that much strength in those fingers? OUCH Always feels better when she is done - - I must admit.
OK, off to spend time with the family and go out to lunch with them. Be good gang,
Bob

Wow, the breakroom is quiet tonite. Hopefully it is just because the Merkins have turkey and black Friday overload. This is going to be a busy weekend in the shadow of the Rockies. Father-in-Law made it thru the nite and is doing better. That is good. He is a good guy. He is only 90 lbs soaking wet but 80 lbs of that is his heart. He is the guy who taught me to weld. Tomorrow, Rhonda (my wife) and I are going to make chicken sausage. Sadly, this will be a small batch so I won't be able to send any of this batch to a fellow Canadian from Saskatchewan who wants super lean and super tasty sausage. Sunday I have to work on my 'Honey Do' list and then Monday I have to go meet my local battery connection. My truck and my car all need new batteries and it turns out that a member of the ABDTR chapter is able to get a good price on Interstate batteries.
I had an interesting observation today. About a week or two ago a fairly new member of this board was taking liberties and just being down right mean with one of our lady members. Now let's be clear, this particular lady has always been truly a lady but at the same time she also has never needed the boys to stand up for her. I was rather offended by the rude approach this particular newbie was talking to one of our ladies. Well today I happened to read through a slightly older thread. There was a response from this particular member - the not so nice member. I noticed that it now says 'banned' under the members name. I am neither a fascist not a tyrant but I was pretty happy to see that. One of the things I like about this family, dysfunctional as we are, is that we are polite and respectful. If you don't want to be polite and respectful, there are about a million other places on the interweb for you. I am not sure which admin banned this poor and misguided member, but whoever it was, good on you.
