Well done, Jeff. What a difference in someone like this and the air heads in "occupy" that do nothing all day but create havoc. No goal, no idea of what life, liberty and freedom are truly about. God bless the USA and our troops that fight to help us maintain our freedom in spite of the air heads.
Morning gang - - coffee, ph00 and hot water are on. Get the ph00 before a certain Canuck gets out of bed. Brought in some fresh home made banana bread. Get that before the dragon smells it.
OK, out of here - - busy day.
Bob

Jeff, you're a class Act with Larry and Jack!
you'd be the successful pioneer in a different era...
chaikwa thank you for the history, it is nice to have reminders of breakthroughs, gives hope!
yes, we could look it up ourselves, but making coffee, cleaning up after the dragon and tackling doughnuts makes me tired. that's ti yad in your language.
warm for the hunters, any deer moving around was too dark or too far.
the 23 year olds went home. mine was going to clean his apartment, I couldn't be happier heheheh.
CanuckScotty- positive thinking sent your way for medical treatment.
if you are all bandaged and medicated, then you can't mess with the phoo
Again, where the heck is redleg Don? I'm calling 9-1-1 to report him missing.
everyone talk softly, Shorts is in the next room.

I have great respect and admiration for all that have served in our armed forces. But lets not forget those who had to serve another way, like me. The ones who developed the science and technology that improved the safety of our nation and success of our military.

I was at my dads house today, had to do stuff and put wintertires on his nissan, so around noon he came home from work, so we talked alittle ´bout this and that.
Then he looked at his watch, and said " no wonder I´m hungry, you coming in for a bite??"
I´m like always alittle hungry, so I went in too, sat down at the table, dad messing around in his kitchen, it´s better to stay out of the way.
Then, he shows up with 2 plates, some bread and EGGS, "eat up" he said, I was like , and he just looked at me like what up with my eggs, anything wrong with my eggs.
Then I told him about Sgt Major Jack Randolph Belcher fishing with his buddy Lary, and he settled down......
Thanks Lary, I´ll never eat another egg without smiling,
Slev

I can't come into the break room this week without first acknowledging it's keeper - Thank You Sgt. Major Jack Randolph Belcher.
The ball - we survived
First, it was a smartphone equipment error; h-o-t-e-l. A pinky swear says that I had not had anything to drink at the point in time I typed that.
The event we went to is called The Margarita Ball and is put on by the Dallas Margarita Society. It's an annual charity event that gathers gifts that go out to local less fortunate kids. It's my understanding that the toys get distributed to a number of PDs and FDs and serves as their supply for the events they do in their respective areas. Each attendee is required to bring one gift. That's more or less the entry fee for the invitation. DH and I each picked out some Lego sets. They have some awesome stuff! The guy checking us in at the reception desk said last years attendance was around 15k people and they expected more this year.
I was stressing over this event. I'm so glad that I was wrong on my idea of how it would go. DH and I got all dressed up. That was a circus in itself, but we got there. Strapping in, sticking on, and tieing up, we looked pretty sweet. We were on youtube getting instructions on how to do DHs bowtie. After a few tantrums we had success - we're still married
We headed over to the company suite where beverages and snacks warmed us up for game time. I did not intend to wake up to a hangover so I planned to take it easy. I grabbed a cold beer (instead of the liquor or champagne) and took my time. Then someone walked in with a new bottle of Patron and wanted to do a toast.
It went downhill from there.
The amount of people that fit on three floors of the ball room was incredible. They had several dance floors, live music stages, a casino (charity only, no cash out), bars, game raffles. The atmosphere and setting reminded me of a cruise ship. I played a little blackjack. I normally don't hit tables (I like slots).
Around midnight I got hit by the train. My feet were killing me from my heels too. We retired back to the room. Blah blah blah, ordered cheeseburgers then passed out around 2am Woke up at 6am and dying of thirst. I moved slowly so as not to awake the hangover beast. Water, coffee and Excedrin gave me a boost. We checked out and headed home.
Today is lazy nap-on-the-couch day. Only a couple days to get ready for our Turkey week plans. Viva November!
