YAWN ...... not really sure why my eyeballs are still open at this hour. Oh well, at least I can catch up on DTR reading.

GOOD NEWS ..... our family is getting ready to grow again. We were selected as an adoptive family for a teenage girl !!! We are totally stoked ... maybe that's why I can't sleep . Gonna be interesting around here for a while until things settle down.

Someone mention a cup of tea ??? Oh man ... that sounds good and wouldn't ya know it but I AIN'T GOT ANY !!!

Oh well ... decaf coffee works too.

Cheers,

Geesh Pistol!! how many does that make???? You're gonna have to get a mega-cab now, or maybe a CTD powered school bus...you still on the road or home ? Congrats BTW.. I understand how much you and Jen love having the kids around..

Nothing moving, got a new officer working with us for 2 weeks on the graveyard..good guy, retired from teh local PD and knows his stuff.

We got some interesting news today, got a call from a buddy who is a realtor, and it seems there is this older couple who are considering putting thier place on the market...
25 acres of good brome pasture, 125X100 indoor arena, 6 stall barn, seperate workshop, and another 40X60 hay barn, 3 bdroom, 2 bth ranch style house, all the buildings are in good to fair condition....and they are thinking of asking around 160-180K for it......hope they decide to do it!!!
I could handle moving again for that...

well, best go do something, right, wrong or other........

Greeting from the depth of the Bat Cave. In here early, chasing light beams and trying to figure out why some of these "inspectors" prefer to spend 2 minutes to salvage out a $1000+ set of optics rather than spend less than a $100 and thirty minutes to fix them. However, I will not get into that argument since I spent over an hour yesterday trying to explain the same stuff to some people looking at me with the deer in the head light expression.
Got a 0800 evaulation of a new Training Bn this morning. Should be real interesting. Beer is on ice.
Long last couple of weeks. Been on port and starboard. Come in and stay till the brain gets fried, get some sleep, and then come back and fry some more. Anybody want a job? The pay ain't great but the company is.
Outa here, breakfast platter at the Starlight is calling.

Sooo, where is the coffee house for us "normal" folks? This just doesn't look familiar - - - not sure we "normals" are even welcome here.

Well, no one around, so I will grab a cup and hope one of those "Marine" people don't come chasing me - - I would hate to have to whip their - - uuuhhh - - smile.

Have a great Sunday - - don't spill the popcorn when the Buccaneers score - - - hmmm, they are playing aren't they???? Duh, who is playing???? Must be some teams I never heard of.

Morning all!

Pistol, congrats on the new addition!

Chris, man I'd move for a deal like that. (and I don't even have a horse!)

DC, glad to see you starting out your week with us!

Y'all have a safe one today. Hope everybody enjoys the new commercials this afternoon and your team wins too.

No, Sunday's are YOUR days to make the coffee. People have been coverin' for ya in your absense, but it's high time you stepped up to the plate and fulfilled your DTR duty!

Glad to see ya back around Geico! 'Bout time too!

Chris, the question now is; does the Boss like it?

Made me a cup of instant while we're waitin' for the lizard to do his job!

Well, nothing is set in stone yet but looks good so far. She will be #5 but now that the oldest son is out on his own for the most part ... we have another bed to fill. Believe it or not ... we will be adding more !!! As for the mega cab ... not in the cards. Jen's looking at swapping her Yukon for a 12-15 pax van . Hopefully, she'll let me bomb it and make it look .... well, a little less "institutional".

Now, that place you are considering ... I really hope you can work a deal on that new place. The indoor arena sounds GREAT for what you guys do and the price looks good too !!

Thanks ... not sure which is more nerve-wracking adopting or having them natural. At least there are no smelly diapers .

Yep ... still here . Got at least another week to go. Kind of bittersweet ... lots of aggrevating mechanical issues out here that are making the job stretch far too long ... but I sure am enjoying the challenge.

No-tell Motel ... been a while since I heard that one .
