You are correct. So respect your elders and leave me alone Casper!

Yes it was/is. Just felt like it should have been bedtime. Driving that long always makes me feel like I've been put thru the wringer, don't know why. Combine that with a 5 mile hike thru knee deep snow, uphill, carrying 25 pounds of forestry garbage and I feel like 1/2 a Marine!

It's a mossberg 500A, with the 18 inch security barrel and pistol grip, shown in this vid...

I know how you feel, buddy. I have done some mild cold weather training, but never in knee deep snow. Too late to be a Marine now, but you can still haze yourself for free! It keeps you in shape, right?

You can see him now, if members are in invisible mode, their green 'online' dot will be red.

Since you recommend it, I will opt for the vacuum this time, more soothing. The leaf blower gets too hot anyway (its a gas model).

The snow wasn't bad really, light stuff and dry. When it gets crusted over and is heavy and wet it will REALLY slow you down. I'll be honest, I don't think I'd have what it takes to be a Marine. I had to lie down and make a couple snow angels today. And not voluntarily, my legs made that decision for me!

Oh! I thought you were questioning why he had his eyes shut all the time.

Exactly. And the vacuum cleans up any inadvertent messes, the leaf blower just spreads it around!

I wanted to go 18.5 in barrel on mine but with the 7 round mag tube the barrel would have been too short. Nice vid, when you emptied the pistol i thought you were gonna grab a second pistol but you got out a knife and stabbed the target. Now if you had a Mosin Nagant you could have shot the target from a distance and then stabbed it with the bayonet.

I had the pistol condition 3, and I didn't think about using the knife until I ran dry with the pistol.

Mine is a 6, so that's good enough. That short barrel is really nice in the house. There are enough weapons that have bayonet capability without having to use that ancient thing! lol

That ancient thing is like the swiss army knife of bolt actions. You can shoot, stab, beat, lit something on fire with the fireball the 7.62x54r produces, and use it as a boat oar! It's is ancient but it's a very simple reliable cheap shooter, and I enjoy taking mine out to the range.

Tim, I'll have one for you!
