Mornin' all!

-30* again/still. Gotta go back to work today. Shift starts in 1.5 hrs......

Christmas came to my house yesterday. It was a good one. My kids are spoiled I guess. Mama and I did pretty good for them and then Grandma showed up with more..... They got a Wii and knowing that that was coming, Santa sent along a Rock band bundle for them. They love it!

I surprised Mama with the Kitchenaide blender she has been wanting for a few years now. That made her very happy. She just wondered how I managed to pay for it without her knowing about it.... It's good to be sneaky on occasion.....

Fried my first turkey yesterday as well. Came out pretty good.

Just a touch over done but it was still awesome. Mama loved it cause all of the skin was crispy like she likes it.

Did the thing outdoors at -25*.

Even as cold as it was, I had a hard time keeping the oil temp under 350* but it worked out in the end. Nobody starved.

Gotta make a lunch and start the truck...... I'll drop in later.

Morning, my Friday. Need high test coffee this morning, trying to keep my eyes open. Finally got around to picking up a front mount hydraulic pump for the 8N to run live hydraulics for my plow and possibly a loader. Had to go to Muskegon last night to pick it up off craigs list. Also have a new radiaotr and starter coming for it this weekend. Bad news is we have one more jumping ship here and will be down yet another employee after today. No sign of having any real time off or going back to a 12 hour schedule anytime soon. Boss made an "attempt" to brow beat me the other day for calling in on a mandatory overtime day. Might have to see how effective he seems to feel he was...

On the deck no less. ON THE DECK! Shame on you! On the ground or on the driveway, AWAY FROM THE HOUSE! Don't make me come up there!

How is it that in this crappy economy and job market, people leave that place faster than they can be hired?

Maybe someone should take a look at the 'boss' and figure out if HE is the reason for the rapid employee turnover.

We did take a look at her, the new boss takes over for Jenny in January. We've been testing and interviewing, it's Lansing dragging their feet giving permission to hire. This last one leaving was denied a hardship transfer for family reasons. The excessive stress here, helped her make the decision. Thing is, even when the hiring process is finished, they can't be on their own to fill schedule gaps til after at least 3-4 months shadow training, depending how how much previous experience.

Mornin.

Marc, good looking turkey, too much snow...

Not much going on today. I'm off until Monday, got off at noon yesterday. Got in the hot tub this morning, it was nice. Being lazy for a few more minutes with some coffee and DTR, then it's time to get busy.

Ya'll have a good one.

Sorry Claude, Lake Anne is part of the 7th District, I'm in the Sixth, so haven't heard of it. &th has some serious crime fighters though, don't fret.

Little colder my way this morning getting out. It was snow, not rain, so wasn't bad. Roads are fine down this way if you need to get anywhere though.

Jeez I could use a hot tub right now. Might finally get one this year barring any surprises. Getting some serious bills out of the way now, to help pay with cash. Don't really plan on getting involved with any financing again, soon.
