Greetings from the land of 10F and holding....and holding for the past few days and for the next several.
Family is getting ready for the Holidays. So far so good.

All the best to all of my DTR clan. Taking it easy over the next two wks. After that I have to make a choice about where I am headed with work and how I want to deal with it. Wish I could say more.

HO HO HO

Remember Marc, make sure the bird is completely frozen and wet, drop it in the fryer rapidly anmd make sure the oil is at 400*, also make sure you are wearing flip flops, shorts and a t-shirt.

J/K, enjoy it, done correctly it makes the best turkey.

Stay safe in the big house and Merry Christmas.

Twenty ounces of honey, 2 or 3 sticks of butter in a sauce pan on low. Warm it just enough to melt the butter and blend the two together then inject it all in the bird. Make sure you have a full tank of propane. (cough, cough)

Evening folks.

Thats right. You missed it last January. It was the worst weather in your area in 15 years.

LoL! Surprised your wife didn't pound on you. "Honey, we are transferring to the desert where its warm and dry during the winter". My wife (jokingly) gave me a hard time for trying to outrun the weather in Jan. Left CA ahead of the storm, got to Quartsite and had to stay inside for 6 days because of the rain. Hopefully this year will be different.

Morning all.

Man, yesterday's appointment with the dentist was like pulling teeth. Now my mouth is all sore.

Today is Wednesday, December 22nd. Only a couple of days left.

On this day in 1775 - A Continental naval fleet was organized in the rebellious American colonies under the command of Ezek Hopkins.

1864 - During the American Civil War, Union Gen. William T. Sherman sent a message to U.S. President Lincoln from Georgia. The message read, "I beg to present you as a Christmas gift the city of Savannah."

1895 - German physicist Wilhelm Röntgen made the first X-ray, of his wife's hand.

1910 - U.S. Postal savings stamps were issued for the first time. They were discontinued in 1914.

1939 - Gloria Jacobs became the first girl to hold a world pistol record when she shot 299 out of a possible 300 points. She was 17 years old at the time.

1941 - British Prime Minister Winston Churchill arrived in Washington for a wartime conference with U.S. President Franklin Roosevelt.

1961 - James Davis became the first U.S. soldier to die in Vietnam, while U.S. involvement was still limited to the provision of military advisers.

1984 - New York City resident Bernhard Goetz shot four black youths on a Manhattan subway. Goetz claimed they were about to rob him.

2001 - Thirty Afghans, including two women, were sworn in as part of the new interim government in Afghanistan. Hamid Karzai was the head of the post-Taliban government.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Is Jerry Garcia grateful to be dead?

Coffee is on.
