Paul, I was feeling sorry for you but a Hot oil massage!!!!! Closest I have ever had to one of those is taking the drain plug out of the CTD and having to get the oil off my hand before it cooked it.

in a word YES, we use them in alot of things here, besides your block heater in the common cummins dodge, is only 750watts. you can get the Circ tank heater from I think its 800 up to 1500 watts, talk about putting out some heat.LOL (imagine that and your block heater, darn thing would be at operating temps when ya go to start it) LOL anyways yes if you have room to hook these things up there great! they heat the Whole block not just the front portion nearest the block heater.

AND the new KATZ cir tank heaters you can get replacement heater elements for them.

Well, here's your history for today. I tried to get on this morning at my usual time but I kept getting the message 'the server cannot be found'.

Today is Thursday, January 7th.

On this day in 1610 - Galileo Galilei sighted four of Jupiter's moons. He named them Io, Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto.

1782 - The Bank of North America opened in Philadelphia. It was the first commercial bank in the United States.

1789 - Americans voted for the electors that would choose George Washington to be the first U.S. president.

1904 - The distress signal "CQD" was established. Two years later "SOS" became the radio distress signal because it was quicker to send by wireless radio.

1927 - Transatlantic telephone service Service began between New York and London. 31 calls were made on this first day.

1932 - Chancellor Heinrich Brüning declared that Germany cannot, and will not, resume reparations payments.

1935 - French Foreign Minister Pierre Laval and Italian Prime Minister Benito Mussolini signed the Italo-French agreements.

1942 - The World War II siege of Bataan began.

1949 - The announcement of the first photograph of genes was shown at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.

1953 - U.S. President Harry Truman announced the development of the hydrogen bomb.

1959 - The United States recognized Fidel Castro's new government in Cuba.

1968 - The cost of a U.S. first class stamp was raised to 6 cents.

1975 - OPEC agreed to raise crude oil prices by 10%, which began a time of world economic inflation.

1979 - Vietnamese forces captured the Cambodian capital of Phnom Penh, overthrowing the Khmer Rouge government.

1980 - U.S. President Jimmy Carter signed legislation that authorized $1.5 billion in loans for the bail out of Chrysler Corp.

1990 - The Leaning Tower of Pisa was closed to the public. The accelerated rate of "leaning" raised fears for the safety of its visitors.

1996 - One of the biggest blizzards in U.S. history hit the eastern states. More than 100 deaths were later blamed on the severe weather.

1999 - U.S. President Clinton went on trial before the Senate. It was only the second time in U.S. history that an impeached president had gone to trial. Clinton was later acquitted of perjury and obstruction of justice charges.

2009 - Russia shut off all gas supplies to Europe through Ukraine. Prime Minister Vladimir Putin publicly endorsed the move and urged greater international involvement in the energy dispute.

Feel sorry for you fokes in the south - your just not set up to handle this cold weather & snow .
Please be very careful with extra heaters - they are known to cause a great number of house fires !

Think your innernet must be frozen also

Evenin' everyone. Just got done snow blowing the drive for the second time today. Had 4 or 5 inches this morning and another 2 or 3 on it this after noon. Went to dads shop and got the tractor out and plowed his drive and parking lot at his business. Mom and Dad got themselves a new dog today. They got a yellow lab puppy, I got to see him for a little. The pup is 6 weeks old and loves attention. I'll have to get a picture of him and post it on here.

Snow is still coming down, suppose to get even more overnight.

How's everyone doing?

Claude, you should be west of 131 if you're missing the snow. But yes, it's bad to the south. Funny, I made it all the way in without crashing, in 2 wd drive, at a decent speed. Some just can't figure it out.

Why oh why is it so darn hard to find a crusher hat??? Had one years ago, want another one. Found one from Johnson Mills in VT... $25 bucks for the hat, $15 for shipping. I DON'T THINK SO! Only other company I found wants to sell them only in case lots. They're making it very difficult for me to be my stylish self!
