DTR Breakroom, insomniac's edition 7/11-7/17
Can't sleep, again, so I'll fire up the new room. My project for today is two part. First, I need to find the bag-o-parts I bought last week to fix a dripping pressure regulator. After I find the infamous missing bag, I need to do the repair.
The coffee is ready, just push the button, phoo too. Please note that the phoo is on the counter next to the coffee pot. The bowl on the table with all the flowery looking things in it is potpourri. Please, stop eating the potpourri. I understand it smells better than the phoo but it's not edible. Well, come to think of it, neither is the coffee here most days. Never mind, carry on.

Morning Yall
Up early, taking the wifey and kiddo to eat at the place where one legged waitresses work. Then going to take Aiden to see the ROW and all the equipment and pipe, that he should enjoy.
Decided to pull the stacks off of my truck. Going to put in a fuel tank/tool box combo. (I have access to an unlimited supply of free diesel right now.... shhhhh) so the tank will pay for itself in a month or so. Plus is will be nice to be able to carry 80gal of fuel(1300-1500 mile tank ups!). Im gonna miss my noise makers but it will be better with the baby too when he gets here. Ill just polish em up and store em till my next truck comes along and I can stick em back on the mega.
See yall later.

I have a cure for that.
Morning all.
Went to the drag races for the first time yesterday. It's loud, it was hot and it smelled like the coffee here... I'm impressed!
Today is Sunday, July 11th.
On this day in 1798 - The U.S. Marine Corps was formally re-established by "An Act for Establishing a Marine Corps" passed by the U.S. Congress. The act also created the U.S. Marine Band. The Marines were first commissioned by the Continental Congress on November 10, 1775.
1804 - The United States' first secretary of the treasury, Alexander Hamilton, was killed by Vice President Aaron Burr in a duel.
1864 - In the U.S., Confederate forces led by Gen. Jubal Early began an invasion of Washington, DC. They turned back the next day.
1955 - The U.S. Air Force Academy was dedicated in Colorado Springs, CO, at Lowry Air Base.
1972 - U.S. forces broke the 95-day siege at An Loc in Vietnam.
1995 - Full diplomatic relations were established between the United States and Vietnam.
1998 - U.S. Air Force Lt. Michael Blassie, a casualty of the Vietnam War, was laid to rest near his Missouri home. He had been positively identified from his remains that had been enshrined in the Tomb of the Unknowns in Arlington, VA.
2000 - Arkansas Judge Leon Johnson announced that he would preside over the disbarment case against U.S. President Clinton. Several other judges had stepped aside from the case citing the appearance of conflict of interest.
Have a day!

It's my pot and I'll stir it if I want to. If you're not careful, I'll stir your's as well!
Morning everybody. Have not had much time to hang around here lately other than for some fast drive by postings.
Semi cloudy day in Paradise and a LOT cooler than normal, only 62F so far. As the rainy season has started, we have had a fair bit of rain already. We needed it. Two weeks ago we had our normal monthly rain quota in 4 days. Gave up trying to keep the vehicles clean but did get my truck washed yesterday. 35 pesos for a hand wash and dry.
Now heading outside to do some quick pick and shovel work before it gets too hot.

Mornin.
It's actually cool here, overcast, I swear I felt a rain drop. It's 90*, feels like 70 in Fl.
Everyone is kinda sick, we're just hanging around. Making some cheese toast for breakfast...

Mornin' All!
Overcast and looks like rain this afternoon. Decided it was a good thing I got the truck fixed and back together last night. The dash project came out like I'd hoped. Gonna have to go back in there shortly though. I don't think the turn signals like the LEDs.....
Couple of crappy cell phone pics for your perusal. They look much better in person.
That was at 2200 last night. Still plenty of light left so things will look a bit better this winter when there is some true darkness. As a bonus, Mama came out just as I was buttoning everything up and really liked the outcome. No question this time as to why I was doing something to that old truck..... I think she has finally realized I'm never getting rid of it.
