Morning all. You'll have to excuse my enibriated writing from last night. Got home from work last night and the wife met me outside. My best little buddy of 13 years went to sleep for the last time yesterday. She said he was in the kitchen like always while she made dinner and took a nap snoring like always. She left to another room and came back later to find him. He didn't suffer from anything, just was his time. It just ain't the same already.

Chris, so sorry to hear this. I can't think of anything that could be worse except maybe losing a child.

I know it's not, but right now it feels that way. Glad I came to work maybe it'll help. Thanks Scott.

Sorry about that Chris - - always a shock in the home when it was a good pet. Not fun.

That is an excellent point.

Looking into those eyes of my buddy as the shot was administered was something I will NEVER forget. I know I did the right thing because he was suffering horribly, but the confusion in those eyes, the lack of understanding of what was happening to him and the question of why I was letting it happen to him will always be with me.

Thanks guys. Knowing he was home and happy does mean alot. It was a fitting ending to his happy and spoiled life. So many people knew him or knew of him. I knew it would be over one day, but I wished many times that it wouldn't be. To think I stayed at work a little longer yesterday to do some paperwork that could have waited.
