Evening all

Nice day here, went up to 19 or 20 today. Rain stopped late last night. Good time to aerate the lawn. Try to do that on the weekend. Work was busy, opening and buttoning up exchangers after they water blasted them. Much more of this wrench pulling and I'll forget how to run a tig torch.

Lots of places getting hail with the rain we've been getting. Even had a small twister down south of us about an hour or so. No damage reported as far as I heard.

Have to stop in the AM for a cup of DTR's finest. Tomorrow is payday so will be able to buy fuel for another week. I hope...

Later...

Evenin' all,

NW Houston 84 and muggy tonight. JBJarco, warming up out there in AZ. I remember them days, but Houston humidy is worse on hot days, like today 95. Pool felt good.
Chaikwa, what is normal for you? You are always up to something. Make good when you show up.
cincy good to see ya here again.
5erBob, threw an almond in the iced mocha, does that help. Your name sakes 5er and Bob were enjoying basking in the sun at the turtle spa.
capall, leave tool catalogs out with the pages turned down and you wish list circled. Throw away the Victoria' Secret catalog. Can always suggest the store here is a good place to shop for your wish list. Subtle hints, "gee an (insert type and size) is what I (need, would like, sure would be handy) or words like that.
It is about time for the night shift to check in, ChrisR you on duty tonight?

Got the coffee pot ready to go, just heat up the WWII surplus from the 55 gal drum. I put in the pot, boiled up some ditch water for tea for old dog and others, and made the foo-foo coffee, unleaded, with a touch of almond for 5er. Time to go looking for some donuts. Enjoy
JWBM what fun things are in your job jar today?
Have a good un, and be safe out there.

I'm lighting the fuse on the pots....

explosive mixture should be ready for the brave shortly. Tea and foo are up next, not really any safer than the regular stuff. Don't ask about the donuts. Lary mentioned something about medical testing, Scott and a raise.I guess it makes sense, the donuts are here more than Scott so they should get a raise.

My work schedule pretty much keeps me doing this stuff myself most of the time. Though I haven't figured out if I learn more how to do things, or how not to do things haha....
get a "dewalt combo" (search ebay)
you can get 6 tools for ~$500,
and get batteries rebuilt every 2~3 years.
lots of work in a few choice tools.

Hat is today a better day? Yesterday sounds like the blue bird of happyness pooped on your hat.
nope. the wife is having a fit. we have 2 dogs, the little 7yo dog, and the 1yo Bull Mastiff.
the 7yo has seen kittens before, so she wants to play.

the BM thinks that kitten is the right size for a snack.

mama is NOT happy.

Good morning all! The Cicadas are already bouncing off my office window. I'll pass on the foo foo stuff but the donuts are mine as soon as I can catch one. I think they got all excited when they heard something about a raise.

Hey, with a name like that, they have to know what is good. The pool was wonderful yesterday - - hot sun, cool water, good suntanning. Much more and my kids will think I have been hiding something from them all these years. And, it takes more than throwing an almond in the pot to do the job - - even 5er and Bob know that.

OK, grabbing my foo and off to another day of little things to do - - still nursing a horrible back problem. Not fun. Off to Sams to buy a couple things and drop another $300. Amazing how you walk in there with this little list and walk out 10 pounds lighter having left all your money in there. Crazy. See ya,

Bob

Afternooner all,

Hot and humid in NW Houston, looking at 95 for today.

Lunch at a chinies buffet, not bad.
Morining was good, looking for the rest of the homemade cinnamon roles.
5erBob, it is usually cheaper if you don't take wife into Sams with you.
Try warm milk with honey 30 minutes before bunkie time. Relaxes the sore muscles. Any you will sleep better.
04ctd if momma ain't happy, ain't noooo body happy.
Off to do rounds, then pool time, with kidletts.

Have a good un and be safe out there.

Good afternoon. Haven't been on here in a few days. Just long enough to see if I got any PMs and check my email, thats it. Been busy everyday with something afterwork. At least tomorrow is friday, I can finally get this week over with. Next week it's back to wrenching out in the field! Can't wait to get out of the shop, too much drama and whining goes on there. The boss has been easy on my this week, stayed in the backshop monday and did some small inspections tues-today, nothing big. Hopefully tomorrow will be an easy friday.
Mad- thanks for the sweet tea the other day, didn't have anytime to stop in in the am, i was running lately.

Anyways its dinner and beer time right now.

'Normal'? I dunno what is normal anymore! Crazy schedule lately. But I'll tell you one thing; I posted a question here about my Intertrashional and I got a LOT of helpful replies and a phone call! Never expected that lemme tell ya! Does my heart good to know that there are some outstanding people here that really ARE family and there when you need 'em!

Jake had a mishap yesterday at an event we were attending; he hopped outta the truck like he always does, but this time got his toe-nail stuck in the anti-slip part of the step and tore the whole toe-nail right out. Only yelped for a split second and I didn't notice what he'd done 'til I saw little blood spots on the pavement as he was walkin' around greeting people. No toe-nail left at ALL, just the white center and LOTS of blood. Got the bleeding controlled and he's somewhat back to normal except that it's still REAL sensitive, (understandably!). He's on light duty now, just hangin' out and lookin' good... kinda like his trainer!

Got a call from MR Heidi this afternoon lettin' me know that she had come thru her operation with flyin' colors. I'll let her tell you what ever details she see's fit when she gets back, but suffice it to say that she'll grace us with her presence shortly!

Gotta go find somethin' for supper.

chaikwa.

Claude! Batten down the hatches, sending out tornado warnings now.

Good news for Heidi, I'll give her a call later.

Just getting a toe healed up on Baily now, ourselves.
