New shift Bob, so I can't get the coffee going in the morning. I hope you don't notice a change in the phoo, though. Until now, I'd been slowly building up your tolerence to the Man's coffee. Heck, you may not even like real phoo anymore?

i had a few, spent more time installing them, than using them.

it wasn't really possilbe to have the CB, and have children in the car due to the cussing & general discusion (esp if a girl came on)

be careful out there.

BTW, carb cleaner should cut the goop off the dash, and then baby oil to replenish the plastic an keep it from turning white.
I miss having a CB! Had one in my itty bitty Ranger - came in handy for 'wheeling and traveling in groups. That and the truckers always say the craziest things haha. And, yes, I am a girl, and I'm pretty sure I've heard the worst already I don't pop on and chat with the truckers, though - I heard a girl start talking one time and one guy was bugging her about her location, wanting to know what she looked like, etc. I would NOT have given that info out! I'm not knockin' truckers, just guys in general

Oh, and thanks for the advice on that one - good thing I kept the carb cleaner from my old Bronco! (gave her up for adoption in January )

i used to take the K&N off my 04 and use Carb Cleaner to get the K&N oil off the turbo vanes.

it's the #2 tool in my tool box, gets most anything off (even if you don't want it to)

your and my #1 tool is a rubber mallet.
it doubles your hand strength, like getting brake caliper bolts off.
you can't get them loose by hand, and you don't want to use a cheater bar,
and you don't want to be in there with a ball peen.
a couple good whacks with a rubber mallet will loosen up most anything

some guys swear by PB blaster. i dunno.

here's another tip: a floor jack.

i had a tight tranny plug on that Honda, and i could not get the ole' mallet in there, so i pulled it up to nose over the curb, rolled the jack under it, and slowly cranked up the jack. it took up all the slack in the engine mounts, picked the engine up, then started jacking the car up.

it finally broke loose before the tires come off the ground.

but you can do brake caliper bolts the same way, turn wheel, use a box end wrench, and jack the end of the wrench up.

hth you keep the BF from pushing you out the way while working on your truck

Lunchn munchn pizza done,

Ptl cldy and 90's NW Houston. Armarillo TX has much different weather than Houston.
Was doing a post last night and hit a rong key, down into the dumper it went. Oh well, it was late, so jumped into the sack.

Found a drum of WWII coffee, going to tap it, heat it up, and make iced mocha out of it. 5erBob, your the foo-foo expert, I'll let you have the first mug of the stuff.
Ystdy, got the TXDOT inspection sticker that was mutilated on the PT cruiser, replaced. Can't get a 2 year on a used car. Did not have to have emissions done.
Washed truck in the cooling gentle rain shower.
Capall, watch sales, garage sales, and pawn shops to get afforable tools. Duct tape and WD40. And MORE TOYS
04cdt did the new sherriff take care of the "Hoston we have a problem?" LOL on that one.
Hat is today a better day? Yesterday sounds like the blue bird of happyness pooped on your hat.
Fronty, I usually have a CB on trips, also the cell phone, and the GMR 5 mile radios. Lot a chatter on the little radios anymore.
ChrisR good to see your still around. Did you get much of the big storms?
Always, good day today, thanks. And you?
Trooperthorn, prudent student working on her degree in accounting, looking to get a better $$$ job. Right now she is looking for a job. Wish I could get the medicare health plans here in TX that are available in OR.

JWBM, wow you are out having fun again. How the downshifting going? GRRRRIIIIIDDD. Some of the stuff I drove when I was a kid took a lot of skill to downshift. Got pix of any of your trip and fun things to post? Your pix are always great.
ofcmarc, thanks for the post the the ball game, been so long since I was in Fairbanks for work could not remember the date. Comes with old age.
Time to go to the community pool.
Have a good un and be safe out there.

04ctd-I've also found that a drill is a handy tool. Gonna see if the family'll give me one for the birthday. They keep trying to get me girly stuff

Watch out for those Hondas - they'll outlive a nuclear war...and so will cockroaches.

My work schedule pretty much keeps me doing this stuff myself most of the time. Though I haven't figured out if I learn more how to do things, or how not to do things haha.

Coffee's still hot in the pot, but still no donuts...

Man its been a long time since I stopped by here. Last I remember Chaikwa was making some glowing coffee and something about a sock? Glad someone else took the responsiblity. Well back to the "Others" section, I think I seen something about a Hairbrained way to add weight to the bed of a truck
