Claude, why don't you go buy one of those sign places that make yard signs. They buy the material in 4X8 sheets and cut it down. The material I'm thinking of is what they use for real estate signs. I've got some and all you do is wipe it off when you're done.

hey all.

Matt, gotta question for ya or Redleg- we have been seeing a lot of windmill transports leaving by train. isn't there a limit how long you can be on a rail?
crated aluminum around the blades, then what? put the truck on underneath them?

nice to see all the good guys post- Jbark, Mexstan, etc.
trying to get back to normal- wow there's an opportunity for T Rad...
very nice in Baltimore. best food ever. or maybe it was just not working that tasted so good...hmmmm

out for a little bike ride yesterday, job search for the son this AM. he is so frustrated...

outta here.

Oh, that's funny! I'm as normal as you are. (Crap, now I sound like Chaikwa)

How long were the ones you saw? I'd guess that was about the limit. Took these a while back.

Bet those blades are the ones being shipped over here. Big wind farm going in about 1/2 hr southwest of me. Yeah you can ship larger items like those blades, the RR has to put an idler car on either end to cover for the over hang. You have empty flat car - flat car with an oversized load- then another empty flat car. Keeps a safe distance between the long load and other cars or loads. They might also be on a speed restriction cause of the larger load, and if they are heavy enough they might use a special flat car that has more axles. Here's an example of theflat car being used as an idler...

Afternoon DTR been keepin busy today and did a few more job apps. Went to lunch with my brother, looks like he's moving thursday to go live in Bloomington IN. Gonna give him a hand moving. Probably pack up his truck, my trailer, and my truck with his stuff.

Hey ya'll, long time no type. Who's got the iced coffee on? It's hot down here, especially with a broken AC. Well, was broken, hard to sleep last night. Got it fixed today.

Looks like I missed last weeks beach party thread here. That's because we just got back from vacation at the beach.
Adult beverage of your choice if you can tell me where we were:

My guess would be that the photo was taken with a Canon EOS 40D, f/8 w/300 mm, 1/250, ISO 400, No Flash.

Close?
