A Drug Problem
A DRUG PROBLEM
My generation just might have been lucky?
I had a drug problem when I was young.
I was drug to church on Sunday morning.
I was drug to church for wedding and funerals.
I was drug to family reunions no matter the weather.
I was drug to the bus stop to go to school every weekday.
I was drug by my ears when I was disrespectful to adults and teachers.
I was also drug to the woodshed when I disobeyed my parents.
Those drugs are still in my veins; and they affect my behavior in everything I do, say, and think. They are stronger than cocaine, crack, or heroin, and if today's children had this kind of drug problem, America might be a better place.
Signed,
An Old Fart

Re:A Drug Problem
I like it. It goes along with Proverbs 13:24 which says "He who spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is careful to discipline him.

It ain't just yall's generation. Mine to. Well, at least some of mine. My dad still threatens to whip me. And I'm 18. Our family reunion is Christmas time. And it rocks. 30 rednecks in a trailer home gathered around a 4 ft christmas tree. Those are the best christmas's in the world.
