Disabling E Brake feature on Pioneer DVD headunit

Does anyone know how to make a head unit play DVDs ect while the vehicle is inmotion? They will only play with the Ebrake on. My guess would be to ground out the wire that is connected to the Ebrake. Any thoughts or ideas on how to do this, thanks

It's the green wire that needs to be grounded w/ a switch between the ground & the brain, if I remember correctly. If you can post a link to the wiring diagram, I can tell you for sure. I installed one in my sister's Tahoe only to have it stolen a week later .

Yup. It's the green one. I guess it's the same on all of the models. If you go to the page w/ the e-brake. The switch takes place of the e-brake. If I remember correctly, that's how it was done.

DTR needs a forum titled "INANE THREADS".

Then none of the other forums would get any traffic...
