Are you asking for information on who has one for sale? Info on a diesel type welder? How long it will last? How much current it will throw down? Where one is? How much they are?

Need more info besides the fact that you want to buy a welder that is diesel powered. Just trying to help.

If you describe what you want, someone will surely point you in the right direction. I believe that there is no question that cant be answered to some degree on this site. Very good information on here. Thanks Mr. Thorpe and to all who contribute to this site.

welder

I would like to buy a Lincoln diesel welder as I am tired of buying gasoline. I would not care if it was a old model as long as it will run and not leak ever where and have a smooth ark. I dont like to use machines that the ark is unstable.
I had hopes of buying a machine that is off of a military base as my son is a Marine but no luck yet. So I had hoped some one on this forum would like to part with there machine. I have a very good SA 200 Lincoln but it is a gasoline machine and I do not intend on buying any thing that is bigger than a weed eater that is a gasoline powered. I have probably put this in the wrong place so in that regard I hope that I have not up set any one. thanks for your input Jim

Well, I know of an SA-200 diesel and an SA-250 diesel here in Alaska! You're probably not up here though.

Lincoln 300 Amp Pipeliner Diesel here at the house. Best welder ive ever used. Even compared to the older 200 amp Lincoln gas rigs that will outweld the newer rigs. Plus, when the power goes off, just plug it in and run the house with it. Dont overlook the bigger Miller welders, all the pipeline welders that have them I've talked to love them.

Hey Jim, yessir, I believe we talked down in Louisville. Good to hear from you again. Unfortunately the welder is not for sale. If I hear of any for sale, I will let you know.

where is this welder to be used? If its a "shop" welder, you may want to look at a "Powcon" Its a PLUG-IN welder that works off of 220 volts. verry steady arc, best bang for the buck. As for a Diesel welder, I`ve only used the miller welder. I dont know what model, but this thing is BIG. Much bigger than thier gas model.

I realize you dont want to constantly feed this thing gas, but the Miller gas welder is great. I`m an Ironworker, and these Miller`s are all over the jobsite

welder

I have a SA-200 lincoln and 300 amp shop lincoln welder. Both weld good. The SA-200 runs flawless and is in very good shape. How ever I wont a unit like, Monty, has as it would do two things. Provide power to weld and power when TXU is on the Blink.
I will sell the SA-200 if I can find a diesel powered welder that is in good shape. guys thanks for all your help Jim
