Sure looks like some of our "contractor" personnel have probably taken a "sick" day.
Maybe not. Why take off "sick" when you can go to work and not be supervised anyway
Wake up Ed, put some extra coffee on.
Temp going above freezing today. MAYBE some of this ice will melt.

Mornin' All good DTronians,

Another gorgeous morning today. Warm and sunny. Sure was cold at Daytona yesterday. Couldn't believe it. Got in the truck at 5am here in my shirt sleeves and making sure I had lots of sunblock and my hat. Never did see a sun rise - - by the time I hit Tampa lots of fog. Started east and more fog. Stopped at the rest stop, opened the door and thought I was at Redleg's house - - wow it was cold. I mean "see your breathe" cold - - in Florida?????? Yeh, guess where my coats were. I could see it all now - - add another $100 to the cost of the trip to buy some "official logo" jacket at the races. Oh well, Dodge had their big rig there, so at least it could have said Dodge on it. Luckily my son had an extra jacket in his car. Great race, but light fog dew settling on you all day - - made the track just a tad slick. Ole Stewart was fantastic, but played a little dirty and got caught for it. Still made is way back up to 5 - - it was amazing to watch him come up the middle with 3 and 4 wide in the turns. That ground just shakes when 10 or so cars come down that straight at 200 mph.

Lazy day today - - never got home until 2 am after tooling along in 1st gear for two hours to go 12 miles on an interstate. Horrible. So, I am taking it easy and recoup after all that excitement. More , can't wake up.

Good mornin' boys & girls.
Temps here might get above 30 today, that will be nice.
Gonna play mechanic today, wife's grandma gave our stepson her car.
A 1988 Chrysler Fifth Ave. with 26k original miles on it.
Still has the original tires, brakes, always been dealer serviced.
Car has been sitting for over a year, gonna tune it up, throw 4 tires on it, change fluids. Stepson gets his lic. on March 2nd.
Spoiled little brat, I wanted it! I might end up with it in about 6 months or so.
We'll see how long he can afford to feed the 318 with fuel before he wants an econobox.
Also have to bring my grandfather's minivan to the garage, got a tire with a slow leak.
I get to drive a minivan today, who's jealous?

Something to do with "The beatings will continue until there is a rise in morale"?

So Stan, how is weather down in the "other" Paradise? Sure nice here today. What a far cry from Sunday on the "wrong" coast - - Daytona.

Mama's car is in the shop - - one highly touted by two friends. (I will have to find new friends.) Computer telling me I had a problems in #5. I have 75# compression on #5 - - boooooo. So, they start telling me how they have to pull the engine to remove the heads (have to do both of them to be sure everything will be OK - - yeh, sure - - 45,000 miles). When I heard that I knew I was in the wrong shop. Could make me get my hands dirty and do it myself. Unbelievable how people think they can blow smoke and not get caught.

Oh well, onward and upward to more fun things. Have a great day.

Bob
