Diesel fuel in 08 Polaris ranger. Any suggestions?
We have two Polaris rangers and two kubota rtvs, there's a guy that works for us and he put diesel in one of our rangers and now it doesn't run, but it does start. The reason this happend was cause we told him to only use diesel fuel on the kubotas. Not very savy with these little ranger engines. Anybody have a clue what I should do? I believe it's EFI

Drain the tank...I'm sure you already did that, change the plugs and it should be fine. You might also want to change the fuel filter. Diesel is a pretty good lubricant so I don't see how it could tear anything up.

Drained it and added injector cleaner and gas starts for a while and dies, drained it twice and filled it up with fresh gas and starts and smokes some. When you accelarate it acts like it wants to go but then it dies again. I was told I need to remove the injectors and check them.

We had it happen to a truck where I used to work. We drained out as much diesel as we could, replaced the filter and she ran fine. I can't see why it would do any kind of permanent damage. I took a while for it to clear up, though. I would let it sit there and run for a while to maybe work out any remaining diesel in there.

Some atv's and side-by-sides have the fuel pump mounted in a canister, kind of a sub-tank instead of mounting the pump in the main tank.
I don't know if Polaris is set up like that, but if so you may be able to take that apart to dump it out and flush it.
