Re:diesel costs
In northern Wisconsin the price just took a jump in the last few days, 1.549 for unleaded and 1.529 for diesel, deisel was higher for a few months but has now dropped below unleaded, they say because of the mild winter their is a fuel glut, 15 to 20 below zero the past 3 weeks is not mild in my book. :

I just did a little calculating... diesel $0.5839/L - $0.6439/L . One us gallon = 3.7854L sooo, diesel is from $2.21 - $2.43 (cdn) /us gallon. gas varies per day of the week but averages around $0.759/L = $2.87 (cdn) /us gallon. :
you will have to convert the dollar...
p.s I think my diesel prices are low...
[/quote]
But that then translates to about $1.86 USD based on 65% exchange rate, doesn't it? Drop down to Bellingham, you can get it anywhere from 1.39 to 1.46 USD. Hey, by the by westcoaster, I'll be visiting Abbotsford next monday and tuesday at a certain transmission shop.

Re:diesel costs
It's running $1.45-1.50 on the Front Range of Colorado. It seems to run about the price of mid grade gas out here (our midgrade is 87 octane, regular is 85 and premium is 91 and oxy fuel during the winter - read mtbe/methanol/alchol ). It changes price about a week after gas changes so at least I know if its going up or down.

I am sure the cost is cheaper over the line. It isn't worth the hassle of heading over right now. I have only put 6000km (3728mi) on my truck since Aug 17 (oil change). The company gives me a van (and pays gas) for work, so, for the most part the truck sits.
What tranny shop are you going to?

Re:diesel costs
Cheapest place here has risen from $1.46 to $1.53 USD since his last delivery. He'll hold that price though until he needs another tanker. Blending stops here by early April, so I hope it goes down a little.
