Don't get me started on the Xmas bonus topic. The company I work for was privately held until 2.5 years ago. Then Xmas bonuses were anywhere from $1000 to $50K depending on your position and how you performed throughout the year. Now the BIG company that bought us doesn't give anything back to the hard working employees. This wouldn't bother me if we didn't do about $20 million a year at 60% profit with only 50 employees. I think they could afford it.
Sorry for the rant but all of my employees put in an average of 11 hour days, 5 to 6 days a week. I just think that Xmas is a time for the company to acknowledge the hard working folks with a little extra Xmas spending money.
