DC Policy ??
Company truck 06 1500 w/ hemi -- check engine light came on -- took to dealer to check it out -- problem w/ transmission DC says remove tranny and disassemble, check to make sure parts are in fact bad -- if so DC will then ship replacement parts -- means I am w/out ride for prolly at least a week. I requested they tell DC that they have already verified parts are bad, once they get parts in I will take truck back to them for repair, so my down time will be reduced but dealer will not do that it is against policy. Even if it means the the parts in stock for next customer.
Does not make any sense to me. Any body heard of this before w/ DC?
Dealer has a no loaner policy but is trying to bend rules for me. I said a 300 would be fine for the week. Hopefully will play out little better today.

Might vary from dealer to dealer. I bought a used 96 Jeep GC in 98 from one dealer that had to work on it 3 times. But every time they gave me a loaner, and covered work under warranty. I bought a new 2000 Ram that had to have the 47re rebuilt from another dealer under warranty. They gave me a ride down to the car rental place .
