any of you guys listen to KHYI?

Down here in Houston we dont have any good stations like this. KHYI plays real Texas Country Music, and none of that Nashville trash. Anyway, I listen to it on the internet at work. I was just going to tell you guys that it was on the net if you didnt already know!

heres the link... khyi
later...
Phillip

edit:::: I am in no way, shape, or form affiliated with this station. I am just givin you guys a heads up on a good station.

Is that the one that plays a train song every time a train rolls by on the tracks next to their station?

they do play train songs, but I didnt know that was the reason. cool.

Ive been listening to it for 3 weeks now. I like it allot. I just wish there was a good station around here.

We had a few good ones a few years back, but for some reason they turn into Tejano stations after a few months. Man I get sick and tired of that stuff. It all sounds the same to me. But I guess thats what you get when you live around a bunch of migrant workers who forgot to migrate back.

We had a real good one for about 2 years down here. It was out of a small town called "Bay City". It was called pure country, and all they played was classic country. Then one day I turned on the radio, and I hear spanish. It was like a kick in the face.

But, who cares about that anyway. Anyone seen the Brazos lately? She's way outa her banks!!! And how about them Astros?

Yep...that's the reason. I believe their station is located in an old depot located right on the tracks. Every time a train goes by they play a train song. I only know this because I'm a train fanatic and the same radio station has been discussed on a different website I frequent.

Bay City, huh? I know a couple of people from Bay City.

Well I'm a little west of the area but I listen to it over the net when at work. There are only a couple of us that listen, the others I work with, are lacking in social sophistication.
