Ford with a 24v or 12v cummins!

i've driven and ridden in a couple PSD's and loved them. my dad just bought a new 6.0 crew cab dually and it's wicked nice! ...has a lot of options that aren't on the dodge, and visa versa. but there's room back there because it is a real crew cab. the 6.0 flies, but it leaks, and it's a V8 diesel. still a cummins fan at heart.

FROM CUMMINS

"We do not have an agreement with DC prohibiting us from selling our motors to other manufacturers"...."we do, however, value our relationship with DC"

This was in an article about how Ford is showing signs of being "unhappy" about the IH relationship and how Ford backed out on a deal with IH to produce a 6 cylinder diesel for the F150. IH was out considerable money on the project. IH sued and Ford settled.

This is all from memory but I beleive it to be fairly accurate as to what I read.

I have a 2nd gen and a 3rd gen but I have to admit if Ford had "it" I would be seriously looking at it.

Dodge/ Cummins

I'll keep my Dodge/Cummins..........I would be afraid of the Ford wrapper falling apart.

Pumpdaddy,
If you only have 101K on a 92 you better start finding more places to drive if you want to wear out that cummins in your life . Maybe start 'forgeting' to change or check the oil, might help to shorten the life of the motor and get you into a new one.

Remember this old Texas proverb:

Life in NOT like a box of chocolates.
Life is like a jar of jalapenos,
What you do or say today
MAY burn your **** tomorrow.

EDIT: oh yea, I'd still take the dodge, would have to undergo some kind of major change to buy a FORD. ( something like a Labotamy ??sp?? ). I do like chevy's though?

in the F650's and F750's you can get the cummins, but not in the light truck body style (F550's and below). F550's still have v10's or the 6.0 diesel.

Jack and Floorman, you're in Raleigh and Garner? Cool, me too. Maybe sometime you could check out my truck and point out anything I need to take care of ASAP.

I can't speak for anyone but myself. I really like my Dodge, but..... It would be a Ford/Cummins combo for me. I bought a Cummins that just happen to come with a Dodge truck. I personally prefer the suspension and interior of the Ford.

I would take the ford cummins combo in a minute. It just seems to be a bigger all around truck. The chassis seems more rugged. My steering linkage wore out at 23K miles, sure Dodge replaced it, but what do I do at 46K? This is my second Dodge Diesel and I bought them both because of the cummins.

Hello Voter, I have a 98-5 24V Dodge . I have some issues with my truck Body, and room, This why I voted the way I did. The new Generation Dodge Might me Dodge's answer to Ford's better Body. If If I could afford a new Dodge i would by one, If the new generation Dodge is all that it 's put up to be. I call it the way that I see it,PS. I like my Dodge, It's Been a good work Trk. that I make a Living with. Jim Davis.

ford with a cummins. hands down.

i'm dealing with old information here. the newest dodge i've driven was a 2001. ford cabs are roomier, are easier to see out of, and the don't rattle my fillings out going down the road. not to mention the underwhelming dodge fit and finish.

This is the first Dodge I've ever owned. I have owned gas trucks of all makes and years except dodge. This truck impressed me in stock form. I voted Dodge/Cummins and boy am I happy with it so far.
