There you go spoiling the party again. I NEVER get to have any fun around here!!

I had two GOOD bites...both getting ready to take it hook, line & sinker....then you had to go jump in the water and scare them away!!

If they did I'd probably be driving a Cummins equipped Ford.

You May not like the truth but that's it.
Err, my truck is a 1990 with a 1989 Cummins and it has disk brakes...

And let's face it- if Cummins were sold in Fords, 90% of us wouldn't be Dodge fans. That's because 90% of us are just Cummins fans...

I'm a Dodge fan I chose a Dodge because of all the stupid nickle and dime things that kept going wrong with my Ford PSD: clutch switches door switches cruise control breaks man that truck was sick and then we bought a new Ford van.... same things every single switch computer and even a engine were replaced the first 50k

He needs to come up with a new one. I had already read the post about Ford not owning Cummins before I posted my first thread, he he he.

You hit the nail on the head.

Ford that I sold last fall had about the same mileage on it as my Dodge does now and this Dodge is in far better shape that the Ford was at 60K miles (Dodge 184k - Ford 200K)
Sad but true and I was a big Ford fan

When you step back from trees you can actually see the forest.

Heck and those problems that you mention were present in the 91 models and even are present in my wife's 2k Windstar... you would think someone over there (at FoMoCo)wouldn't have just copied the same design problems year after year...

Oh well what do I know...

I had had a 89 Ford F350 6.9 desiel before I got my 91 Dodge. I had some complaints about the engine( lack of power under a load) but the biggest problem was the littel things that kept going out on it...
I thought it was put together cheap and behaved that wsy..door panels literally falling off,
bowing fuses constantly, just little things that made it a PIA to deal with...
My dodge has had none of those problems.... I am quite sure I would not buy a FORD even if it had a Cummins in it....

REAR DISKS BRAKES
So what?? I had many friends around here with the early sets of disks. They put the calipers in front of the disks on one side Great engineering. A few big stones and the calipers were toast. Not to mention the gravel ate the lines off. Wooohooo.

Latest word is that GM is going back to drums for the HD trucks. The Gravel and mud get clogged in there and the operators trucks around here get 20,000 Km to a set of rear pads and about 50,000km to a set of rear disks..

Now, is that really worth bragging about??? I will keep my drums thanks..
