Cummins Creed.... Everyone Must Memorize!!!
Here it is Guys and Gals. Everyone who drives a Cummins must memorize. Any of you who are Marines... don't get offended. It's just a play on words.
This is my Cummins. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My Cummins is my best friend. It is my life.
I must maintain it, as I must maintain my life. My Cummins, without me, is useless. Without my Cummins, I am useless.
I must BOMB my Cummins true. I must BOMB more than my friends who are trying to BOMB me.
My Cummins and I know that what counts in this war is not the price of Diesel, the noise of our exhaust, nor the black smoke we make. We know that it is the numbers we post on the dyno that count. And post we will . . . .
My Cummins is human, even as I am human, because it is my life. Thus, I will learn it as a brother. I will learn its strengths, its parts, its accessories, its limits, and its weaknesses (which there are none). I will ever guard it against the ravages of weather and damage. I will keep my Cummins clean and ready, even as I am clean and ready. We will become part of each other. We will . . . .
Before God (or whoever) I swear this creed.
My Cummins and myself are defenders of Dodge.
We are the masters of our enemies and friends. We are the saviors of my life.
So be it.... until there are no Fords or Chevys....
Amen (or something like that).
You are welcome!
Britt

I thought I read somewhere that Ford owns Cummins? Is that true??

Ford owns Cummins like I own a Ford. At one time they did own some Cummins stock, but it wasn't enough to make an issue over.
I do quite a bit of work at the Ford CEP here in Ohio and all of the employees I spoke to about this a few years ago agreed that if Ford did in fact own Cummins they wouldn't have powerjokes in their trucks.

I guess I'll be the low man on the totem pole for today.
Tell me the parts that Dodge built for Cummins?
Ford never owned Cummins, just a little stock.
Today they own NO CUMMINS STOCK........PERIOD.
IF Ford had cut a deal with Cummins and not International
Dodge wouldn't be sellin nothing but PT Critters.
Cummins builds Cummins, Cummins engines sell Dodge trucks.
Dodge is so far behind they didn't have disk brakes on there trucks till 2000
Ford had em back in 1988
You May not like the truth but that's it.
IMHO

Hoss has been around here since the beginning.
The "Ford Owns Cummins" post is Hoss' way to stir things up for the Noobies when he starts getting bored.
