To Coat Or Not To Coat (air tank)

I have a little two gallon air tank I am putting on for my exhaust brake and load assist bags. I cleaned it up inside and out and wondered if I should coat the inside with something. It is pretty much bear now, so should I spray in some rust oleum or maybe some kind of coating?

With my on board air, I just have a small air dryer that I bought that uses silica. You could coat it, it would not hurt.

If it's bare metal inside, I'd coat it or paint it to prevent rust. Maybe pour in some rustoleum, slosh it around, and pour it back out and then let it dry in the sun for a day or two.

Just my
