CNN suspends Novak after on-air swear
I don't know if you have seen James Carville interviews, but he is so obnoxious, he could make a preacher cuss.

NEW YORK – CNN suspended commentator Robert Novak indefinitely after he swore and walked off the set Thursday during a debate with Democratic operative James Carville.
The exchange during CNN's Inside Edition came during a discussion of Florida's Senate campaign. But CNN correspondent Ed Henry noted when it was through that he had been about to ask Novak about his role in the investigation of the leak of a CIA officer's identity.
A CNN spokeswoman, Edie Emery, called Novak's behavior “inexcusable and unacceptable.” Novak has apologized to CNN, and CNN apologizes to viewers, she said.
“We've asked Mr. Novak to take some time off,” she said.
A telephone message at Novak's office was not immediately returned Thursday.
Carville and Novak were both trying to speak while they were handicapping the GOP candidacy of Katherine Harris. Novak said the opposition of the Republican establishment in Florida might not be fatal for her.
“Let me just finish, James, please,” Novak continued. “I know you hate to hear me, but you have to.”
Carville, addressing the camera, said: “He's got to show these right wingers that he's got a backbone, you know. It's why the Wall Street Journal editorial page is watching you. Show 'em that you're tough.”
“Well, I think that's bull---- and I hate that,” Novak replied. “Just let it go.”
As moderator Dan Harris stepped in to ask Carville a question, Novak walked off the set.

language is a fascinating thing. our alphabet has 26 letters, certain combinations of which we deem deviant and can get us suspended, edited, banned, prosecuted, you name it! i mean think about it in principle. profanity is nothing more than a combination of symbols.

People always blow the stupidest things out of proportion. The "Dean Scream", the stain on the blue dress, President Bush flipping the bird, Novak saying a naughty word... So stupid...

Stupid is about right. The really sad thing is that some folks actually walk around acting like they are better than the next guy. I look at it like this, when you stub your toe, you think" SOB!!, I atually SAY it!

Kinda like Janet's bare breast, God created her like that! Now, once it gets exposed we are all "offended" and "Shocked" to see what God created as the female human body??
I say bring on the profanity and nudity, the more the better!

Ain't that strange. I was watching the FX summer series "Over There" this week. The writers for that show used the same word Novak used several times. And numerous other words. Instead of getting suspended, they got paid a lot of money and probably will be praised by the entertainment writers for CNN.

Yeah... I’m with you. One of my favorite shows is Rescue Me on FX (mainly because they get station life and the fire scenes dead on). But every other word is a cuss word. Don't get me wrong, I don't care. I cuss like a sailor. Every other word I say is probably offensive to someone. I shouldn’t do it but I do. Oh well.
Should CNN have suspended Novak? Not in my opinion. Who cares if he said Bull (you know what)? We are all grownups here. Did you get offended? I mean really… how many children watch CNN anyway?
As for Janet Jackson’s Boob… I wish she would do it again.

Well, in the case of Jackson's boobie, I wouldn't say that "as God made her" is exactly right on...
