Claude's S-O-S Coffee bar ~ 12/9/07--12/15/07

Come on in and stay a bit
Pull out a chair or sack and sit
Got time to whittle or time to chat
Don't really get much better than that.

Cool Wellllll....okaaaay! looks good, sniff sniff smells good here

Think I will come in.... whoa! a portly happy lad is on the computer over near the donut counter. not a table top but an actual policeman giving line up numbers to the (kind of) raggedy dough nuts... The happy lad is enjoying some hot beverage and staring at his computer screen ...I will slowly back out of here and check out the hotel couches for a good snooze.....

Heidi , on the road....

Mornin. Another great DTR morning. Woke up at about 0530 to the baby (1 1/2) walking around in the living room... That was weird.

Might try to go to the beach this afternoon so the kids can play in the sand, it's fairly warm here. Got a hankerin for some oysters, too, they are in season. I need to learn how to harvest them without killing myself.

Hope ya'll have a good un.

Gonna have to pass on the coffee here. Its 6:45 in the morning here and I just got home from 5 hours of dirt road driving through the woods. Me and some buddies decided to go find some snow and we did. Got torwards the top of the mountain and ran into about a foot of untouched snow on the road that lasted for about 20 miles all up hill with lots of switch backs and hair pin turns and lots of fallen rocks and trees. It was a good time. Anyways I think its time to hit the sack for a couple hours of sleep.

Wink yep, this is the way to live baby! campin in the snow!

will post some pics later, not on my home computer yet. meet the greatest people too. why should I go home again?

question for all you Northern folks/cold weather ones: do you really eat bacon and peanut butter sandwhiches? it has been on the menu of every tiny place we hit off the back trails. got to send pics of the atv with tracks all up here. it is all you see.

MADHATTER! glad you are bonding with the family, good move to destress too! please soak your head a little longer than you can breathe for me as
your description of sand, sun and beach was noted. hehehhehe

Claude, for towing folks out of buried stuff, slippery stuff- we had a hydraulic over electric tow bar. set homemade extruded steel chocks under my tire sets
lift them and pull in. all from one button. I did repos, truck was set up for all the go fast stuff. use to have a holmes 440 for recovery in the streams and such around here. was too familar with hard work. Other repo rig was the stay in the cab type, remote camera and claw grips at the end of the tow bar.
even had a redneck diverter (never knew what that was). a good old boy showed me how to put a one inch black steel tube off an exhaust port with an electric butterfly choke plate. it sent a rifle shot noise off from the back of the truck at cab height. like I was shooting back......very apt name.
gosh I loved my tow trucks, like they were alive. something is very wrong with me.....

had some tea from OLD DOG's sack of seeds and such. funny, I feel no stress or ambition now.....sure am hungry though, off to tame a doughnut or find a slender in a decade drink......

WAY TO GO CHAIKWA!! Congrats on the Jakester!! go far, my friend
Michael always looks so good on tv! You go, man!

Morning y'all,

What crazy weather !! Several days of ridiculous rain storms followed by the most beautiful day imaginable (fantastic views of the Shastas !!) .... and now it is snowing.

Oh well ... makes for a good day to get the laundry done and to search the adoption sites for more kiddos !!

Enjoy your lazy day .....

Hmmmmmm

Heidi, I like that redneck shooter-backer idea. You might avoid any urinalysys' for about 30 days after sampling his tea. You're done running for office now, right?

Scott you back in town now? I may be able to slide over for a cup Sunday.

No weather just yet, but I'll be watching for a 2wd ranger pulling itself down the road winch cable length by winch cable length. Just like an oarsman with an anchor after loseing his oars...
