Back in the deep freeze. Cold and clear at -22°F. Probably just going to hide today and let the combat shoppers duke it out.

Abstract is a kin to a box of lego's. Some artistic assembly required, but not mandatory.

Wow, I know what you mean. We went way down to 61 last night and will only hit 71 today for a high. Major cold spell. Tomorrow will only reach 74 and may snow - - - uhhhh, I mean some rain is predicted. (Sorry about that - - I meant rain - - don't know how snow could ever come off the keyboard - - realize it is quite cold here but not quite enough for snow - - YET.)

-Yeah, the breakroom doesn't have the traffic that it used to but its the same with some other areas.
-Don't know if its just that people change or if its the changing times.
-Or maybe its just that nobody needs the DTR web site anymore because they are making the trucks so good that nothing ever goes wrong with them anymore.

Hope Rick and a few other travelers manage to get home or to a safe place for tonight.

Oh wow!
1) that reminds me of a check welfare call I took on Christmas many years ago.....
2) Scott's not scatter brained. He thinks outside the box
And outside the circle , rectangle and most any other description of normal!!!but my implication was more character oriented

Hey BARK BARK - - - howya'll doin???? When you use the contraction of you all, you must drop the "ou" and add the "a" and say it like "yawwwlllll." Got it. If you are asking someone how they are, howya'll is said like "howwwyawwwlllll." Ya gotta twist your mouth around a bit when "awwwllll" comes out. Try with the quick step and yu'll have it.

Gosh it's nice outside. Gorgeous blue skies, breezy and up to 71. 76 on slate for tomorrow - - it will at least 2 degrees warmer at the ranch for us for Christmas dinner.

Good afternoon all y'all. I hope every one of you that I have met virtually over the last couple of years has a wonderful Christmas. On this end, the turkey is out of the oven, dessert is in the fridge, alcohol free champage for the kidlets is in the fridge and all of the fixins are ready to go. Oh yeah, gifts are wrapped and tree is decorated.

Friends and family are on their way. We have a rather grim tradition that started back in 2009. I had just lost my mother and am estranged from my father. Christmas in my family had always been centered around my mom, so we needed new traditions. A bunch of my friends had also lost at least one of their parents in the previous year. So, we started 'The Orphans Christmas'. Basically it is a gathering of 4 families who all needed new traditions. We all get together many times a year and have built or own version of a family. Those are the folks that are on the way. As usual, my kid sister, her husband and our two nieces will be staying.

I wish every one of you a wonderful and happy Christmas with friends and whatever version of family you have. It has been a neat experience meeting all of you over the years.

Yeah it really cooled down this afternoon. Had the dog out for a walk and then went swimming. I almost didn't think it'd be warm enough.

Came out of church this evening and brrrrrrrrr it's chilly!

They do not. In fact I think I'm the only one I've heard so far. When I'm out and about I'm sure to lay it thick too. Let 'em know I ain't from around here

OH OH, sorry. I did say that, didn't I. Horrors. No more contrac - - - ooopppsss, almost said it again. I retract my statement. Hey, how was that - - that means it pops back in instead of out. Although, in your case, I really don't think she wants to go thru all that again - - we will just leave it alone.

OK, back to TV with the blonde.

I am buddy and thank you for thinking about me! I got home late Friday evening and It's been nuts here. Too much to go into in detail but once again, chaos rules the roost. Sorry I haven't gotten on the site to post much.

Holiday traditions are a great way to keep the memories alive but from time to time life and circumstances cause us to make changes. The loss of my MIL 10 years ago Thanksgiving week caused changes to our Thanksgiving program but the we embraced the change and have made the best of it ever since. I like the idea of bringing wounded families together to explore new traditions.

And look how easy it is to change it.

Good Christmas Eve to you all! Went to the service at church tonight then out with some friends for a bite to eat. Tomorrow will be low key since the grand kids won't be here until the 26th so steaks and baked potatoes with friends tomorrow.
