Cat on a hot tin roof.....erm...hood?

I have a unique problem with the neighbourhood Tomcat.... *one* in particular. He has taken to SLEEPING on the hood of my truck AND my new VW.
The Cat just loves the hood because it's a good vantage spot for eyeballing birds and a nice warm spot to sleep.

of course when i catch him i yell at him to scram and he'll scratch the hood trying to vamoose.

Now....it's become a regular habit for him......my question is this; HOW do i keep the darn cat off my vehicles without getting bullet holes in my hood?!?

A:
Ask the owner to keep their cat out of your yard.

B:
Go to your local animal shelter/Warden.
See if they loan Humane traps.
Bait with tuna.
Take "Fluffy" for long drive in the country.

C:
Get a big dog.

They won't like some of the suggestions being posted here, but unfortunately, unless the owner is very cooperative, you'll have to probably take matters in your own hands. You "might" be able to try getting a picture of the cat on the hood and a picture of the damage and threaten the owner with a paint job.

Funny I have the same problem, but with my wife's cat... and taking him for a drive no the country is a BAD idea, we have enough stray animals around and don't need any more thank you, why not try a drive into the city.

What does work, a cattle prod

I leave it outside and he will not come anywhere near the house if he sees it now that he knows how it works....

Leave some antifreeze LMAO

You could always wait till fluffy is approaching the truck and dump him with your trusty pellet gun! I shot a raccoon in my backyard of our subdavision with my paintball gun one night.

Catch the cat, bury it in the yard with his head sticking up, and mow the lawn. ;D Get one of those airsoft guns and pop him with that. I shot one of our horses who just tore down a brand new gate my dad and I just put up with it. Horse hasn't come anywhere near a gate since. ;D

First, talk to neighbor about problem.

Second, if no action is taken find a live trap, trap him and then take him to the nearest animal shelter and turn him in as a stray.

Your problem is solved....cat gets to live....everyone is happy.

Hey....I can't STAND cats...but as much as I don't like them I'm not a big fan of just killing them. Call me a softie I guess...

The other option would be a Glock 30. ;D

I used to have a cat who thought my back yard was his catbox.
Got a puppy that loves chasing cats.
Haven't seen the cat in a month 8)

Had a similar problem. I solved it by shooting it with a paintball gun-no permanant damage but it sure hurts like hell.
