Can Fedex not find your house? do they not have GOOGLE Maps?
I am ordering little stuff on ebay (water filter for fridge is $49 in Sears, $27 on 'net)
and twice now, FedEx can't find my house, i have to call them and go pick it up.
so yesterday, they sent me an e-mail saying "your address ain't correct"
so, in response, i sent them my address,
3 phone numbers,
and a attached a MAP of my neighborhood showing the road my house is on.
whaddya think my chances are of having a box on the porch tonite?

It's the local route driver that can't find your house. If you can get ahold of him to give him directions that is your best beat. We had trouble a little while at first but all is well. Fedex guy says our place is his first stop. So we get packages at 8:30AM- 9:00AM in the morning. UPS we are the last stop so we get packages at 7:30PM or later!!!! The only time we may have problems is if a new driver takes over while the normal guy is on vacation.... That throws them all a curve ball....

I have had this problem as well, I live ina rural area and they have never been able to find my place!!! Even with exact exolicit instructions, my place is only a mile off the highway and their is only 3 houses on my road. Gave them the legal land location and everything, very annoying.
Last time my package had to be delivered to my office and it was nearly 3 weeks late!

We just tried switching over from UPS to Fed-Ex at work due to a pricing difference. We are a nationwide company and all I can say is WOW! My office alone has had 4 shipments returned as undeliverable in less than 3 weeks. These were all to well established companies that UPS delivered to with no problems. One of the customers can see the Fed-Ex warehouse from his office but he says they can never find him and he is a gigantic warehouse for Macy's that has been there for many years! I even have a lost shipment of two very expensive handtrucks which are the same exact ones Fed-Ex buys from me for their delivery guys. Gee, go figure!!!
Anyways, we switched back to UPS and we are very happy too. Our other offices around the country are having similar issues. I had no problems with my local Fed-Ex guy though.....

my local fed ex guy comes around my neighbor hood only once a week you can follow the tracking number and sometimes it will be out for delivery for like 3 or 4 days. ups is a little better they are there 2 or 3 times a week.

i had that problem with fedex a few months back. it took three tries to get the package here and i am in a major apartment complex. looks like the teamster drivers at big brown are more on the ball.

well, it got here after I sent them the map.
we are in a neighborhood that is off a main road, if i was in the boondocks, i would accept that.
FWIW, big brown is the worst for crushing stuff, i ship ALOT via ebay,
and they broke $8k worth of printers last month. destroyed.
smashed. as in the guy who unpacked them got covered head to toe in toner.
they said it looked like dropped them on top of each other out of an airplane or something.
out of 4 printers, he had enough parts to make 2 operate, but they still had cracked parts.
i shipped the toner cartridges separately, and they even crushed that box.
you gotta love this site:

i talked to the girl at my local UPS, and they have had so many complaints of destroyed packages, they have a deal now,
the UPS Store packs it & ships it.
you pay for packing, shipping & insurance.
if it gets damaged, you get re-imbursed for all costs (P & S I)
the down part is, the UPS store charged $55 last time to box up a laser jet.

Just to box it up??? Next time bring it on down to the Post Office and we'll tape up your box for free plus give you insurance and you will still come out 9 million dollars ahead.
Talk about high prices. My brother who lives in Houston sent some presents to us via UPS and a 20lb box wound up costing him $85...without any insurance. Man did he get a ribbing from me for that. For the money and service, you can't beat the USPS.

i love USPS. they have their rates so close, it's usually easier to ship Priority than parcel post (within a few cent)
i have a DHL account, they are stupid, if you sign up for them to mail you a statement (so you can put in your tax folder to show shipping costs)
then you CAN'T see anything on their website.
so i signed up for autobilling on their website,
but they won't do that, because i get my statement mailed in a paper copy, i have to mail back a paper check.
good grief!!!
so i am back to the Post Office. the ladies all recognize me, and don't mind if my boxes look like crap.
