Calling all Marines!
Lethernecks, the Marine Corps Birthday is quickly approaching. Time to break out them blues and make sure that they still fit, and get the new medals mounted.
If any present or past Marines do not have anywhere to celebrate, and you are close enough, the Ball is on the 9th and 10th here, I can get you in. (SNCO, 9th, NCO 10th. Retired/no longer active duty, just come with me)

Semper Fi SSgt! I KNOW my blues dont fit anymore. Ah well.
The 10th is also my wedding aniversery so I get to celebrate that as well!

i wore one of my old uniforms (the coveralls we wore underway) to weed eat in last week, still has patches embroidered on it, it was used for painting inport.
the wife came out, said "you look tough & sexy, you might get lucky"
methinks to myself "maybe she got her stuff packed, and is MOVING OUT!!"
here's a pic of the last Submarine Birthday Ball i went to..

I am lucky that I have birthdays in Nov, one on the 10th and the other on the 25th. Even my 6 year old understand my 2 birthdays, Semper Fi, Carry On.

Me being a Seabee, we normally only attend the Seabee ball. When I was in Afghanistan in 2002 I was invited to attend the Marine Corp Ball there. It was being thrown by MACS 4. Normally they do the cake cutting with the sword, but being in the warzone everyone was in Cammies. They used a M-16 with affixed bayonet to cut the cake. It was truly impressive. Normally the Sailors and Marines are busting each others *****, but that was one time I was proud to have Marine brothers.

DANG IT!!!!! The title says. "Calling all MARINES"... Not wannabees... (sorry mom...)
Really tho... Thanks to all the branches of service, heck, if you want to come, bring it. Wear your respictive uniform.
