Calif, what a mess!
I suppose I should be happy I don't live there, but I certainly will make room for any Californians wanting to leave the coast. http://sat.wrh.noaa.gov/satellite/2km/hnx/IR2HNX.GIF

We just went out in it today. Just rain, we have gotten nearly our average rainfall in the last two weeks! Around 20 inches in my area. You do have to be careful where you live though. Some of these nuts like living on the side of a cliff so they can look down on everything. Common sense tells you sooner or later this is going to be a problem. Or some folks build in an area with lots of dry brush up in canyons etc. There have been some road closures around due to mud slides but thats only temporary, interstate 5 closed down due to so much snow but they will clean that up in no time and the good part is they don’t use SALT here yea! I do get sick of all the people in my area though too much traffic the last ten years it seems like it has doubled. All in all its pretty nice, I do have to say I could not live in the cities though HATE IT!! Only go there when we absolutly have to.

I thought this was going to be another political thread.
Yea we're giving so. cal. a taste of real rain in hopes to keep them from migrating north.
Where does one go on an elnino year when the south gets all the weather? Hey fiverBob whats the weather like right now in your neck of the woods?

Hey, I don't mind the rain at all! LOL
Just makes for larger puddles on the side of the road and more fun for attacking unaware victims as they walk and I come up from behind!
If I see a suspected victim I'll wait till I'm about a half block away and bore down on them full throttle and hit that puddle in the deepest spot - sure, I've lost a couple wheels this way but what the hell.....
And Tanker.. keep up an attitude like that (which is normal for you people up there in Oregan) and I'll organize a mass "move"-ment of local people up there!

Californian's get the reputation that they can't drive in the rain because after it starts raining there's always about 20 fatalities...
Of course, this is because after extremely heavy traffic for 6 months in a technical desert, we get an inch think layer of oil and dirt on the asphault. Then it rains a little bit, and our asphalt turns into oil slicks like you've never seen. For a day or so, at least.
After a few days, you can't tell. It's raining hard enough that my windshield wipers can't keep up, and we're going 80...

We got another 5+ inches of rain in the last 24 hours. So we are past 20 inches of rain in the last 15 days. We went out today in the Toyota 4X4. EASY BOYS, settle down now. Before you guys go off, the Toy has lockers in the front and back and is small enough to go through a lot of areas the wide hipped gal cant make I have to say I kinda wanted to take her out today but glad I didn’t cause our road was closed due to rock and mud slides coming of the mountains. There were a number of areas the 3500 would have been too wide. Plus we had to do a lot of turn arounds on narrow two lane streets. The 3500 xcab doesn’t really shine there either. We took a bunch of video of the havoc out there. Some people down the road, their homes have the "creek" now a river flowing in and around them lots of trees down also. The houses were built right next to the creek that turns to a river when we get rain like this. The land was "cheap" so they built there. Oh the temps were in the low 60s and we stopped at the neighbors fruit stand and got some Mandarin oranges fresh from the tree. Not too bad, and those oranges mmmmmmm good. Yep livin here you got to take the good with the bad. We made lemonade today.
