Re:buy a truck and ship it to europe
Good luck with your purchase. Dodge, Chevrolet and Ford each have their particular advantages. I have had all three and have not been disapointed with any of them. All three offer diesel engines, current Chevrolets come with a diesel made by Isuzu, the Ford diesel is made by Navistar/International, and the Dodge diesel is made by Cummins. The Chevrolet diesel as far as I know is only available in trucks made by General Motors. The Ford diesel is available in both Ford and International trucks, the Dodge diesel is available in hundreds of applications worldwide including boats, medium duty trucks of many makes, industrial engines, etc. I suspect that the Dodge diesel would provide you with the best opportunity to find local parts and service. The real strength of the Cummins is its legendary reliability. As far as power, gassers typically have better "seat of the pants" power coming off of a stop sign, but a diesel will pull your house off of its foundation. Diesels have dramatically better low end power and towing capability.
