Wish the landlord would provide more than basic cable so I could catch it. Ya think living in Nashville that TNN would be basic cable since I'm ten minutes from where they are filmed.
OOh well :-[

it's not new, that'll be a repeat. it's nice to watch that cummins beat an automatic powerstroke in a drag race (maybe another episode) ;D the thing that shocks me is that they never upgraded the clutch or said a word about it.

Tom

Did it irritate anybody else that they weren't saying torque figures? Granted the name of the show is horsepower tv but i'm a lot more interested in the torque when it comes to diesels.
i believe it was a 99 24v, 5 speed. They put injectors, a K&N type filter, a propane set up, a chip similar to an EZ, and a full 4" exhaust. There was also something else, but i forget what. All of the products were from Bully Dog.

I forget what the horsepower came out to, i wasn't paying attention by the end of the show :

Re:BULLYDOG DODGE ON HP TV
On their dyno I think they said it started at 195 hp and ended up at about 400 hp. I was waiting to hear torque figures too but they must figure that they don't matter. ??? ??? I just wish I had the money that they get to play with on the show......... :'( :'(
Tom

First kick at the cat was Bully's low end box (can't remember the name, buts similar to an EZ). Then they put a K&N on it and 4" exhaust. Next came a propane injection system (70 HP I believe)

Then a set of injectors (they didn't specify which ones, just 20% more flow).

ALL WITHOUT GAUGES! And after each dyno run, they didn't let the truck cool down at all. Just ran 'er up, and then shut 'er down.

Their last step was Bully's Bully Box (a re-badged Blue Chip FMS) with, finally, some gauges. No mention was made of the clutch, or beefing up the fueling system. Yeesh, I was flabbergasted. Diesel owners who don't realize that these forums exist will be nuking trucks all over the place. Guess I'd better stock up on clutches, automatic trannys and pistons.

Rod

Re:BULLYDOG DODGE ON HP TV
They put the egt probe post turbo, drilled the intake hose to the turbo without removing it for the propane inj. system- never even cleaned it out... really lame :

LOL I figured I had the year wrong
Ya I noticed that. How hard is to remove the intake hose : Seeing the way they treated that truck I wouldn't trust them to work on mine.

Re:BULLYDOG DODGE ON HP TV
Most who are running higher output trucks are mounting the Thermocouple/EGT probe in the exhaust manifold.
It tends to give you a quicker response and more accurate Temp of the gasses as they leave the combustion chamber, instead of after they pass through the turbo.
Rule of thumb is pre-turbo= approx. 300* higher than post-turbo.
