Just took the garbage out... -17C which does not sound too bad but wow is the wind howling. Gusts over 80KMH and windchill warnings again.
I think I beat the crud...maybe. Feel better then last night.
Tempted to go outside and bob around in the hot tub.

Unfortunately they need to run 24/7. Pipes in buildings will freeze if they aren't kept warm, and seeing as how this dive was built in the 60's and 70's when oil was cheap, and when it was owned by a family that owned an oil company, oil consumption wasn't a concern and there-fore neither was building structures that would hold the heat. The pumps in the wells need to keep running because most of the water lines in the ground are so shallow that if the water doesn't keep running, they freeze. And in turn, the grey water pumps need to run fairly often too, to keep the running water at bay. Then there's the servers that need to be kept at constant temperatures to be happy. And then... well, you get the picture!

Ours was out here for 3 days and after tending to everything all evening long I finally laid down about 4 am figuring to catch a cat nap and then refuel the generator...... About 6 am it ran out of gas and apparently it had a little moisture in the fuel tank because the carburetor froze up
I had to take the carb apart and clean it in the dark before I could get it fueled up and running again
Moral of the story is.......shut it down and fill it before taking a cat nap
