I have seen this firsthand myself. Kinda have mixed feelings about it. Not really sure if I should feel sad or happy for them. In all honesty its kinda easier that way for them. If you've never had anything or knew anybody that had anything then everything you got is all you ever need.

I think you nailed it…. We currently have 56 Oyster farms in Alaska. Two are pretty close to me (in Seldovia and Jackalof bay). I cannot buy Alaska Oysters from them because they get shipped out to Japan and elsewhere. Same with some of our other seafood. Kind of irritating.

Stupid Volcano Mt Redoubt has been erupting for the last 30 minutes or so. Normally we have a great view of it from our living room but its too cloudy to see it. Felt a few little earthquakes but no good show. Last time I got really good pictures. Oh well... Probably have to scrape ash off of everything again. Glad the truck is parked in CA because the ash goofs up the wax. http://www.avo.alaska.edu/activity/Redoubt.php

This is funny too, I can't get a decent oyster here to save my life, the crappy ones are a buck a piece...

Afternoon, DTR... Just got back from work, nothing else going on. How's things?

Bout to go grab a bite and hit the gym later.
