sad to say, I can even tell you that Donna Summer revitalized it with a disco beat. saw a "Thing" for sale in CA, it is still cool as when it came out.

see Tim's camping with family quote.

just got out of the hot tub with a strawberry lemonade. like a zoo with all the animal noises tonight, little scary when you hear one you don't recognize. stars are just amazing sometimes...

game camera showed nice deer at midnight but a huge racoon at 4 AM. trap set with peanut butter. bigger racoons have better sense of smell and are more wary. camera showed a two and a half footer, like Swamp People - I think I'll name him-coonzilla. unlike swamp people I am not eating him.

have a great weekend DTR, cigars, beer, cool weather and hot music.

Morning all.

Today is Saturday, August 6th.

On this day in 1890 - The electric chair was used for the first time when Auburn State Prison in New York executed convicted murderer William Kemmler.

1945 - The American B-29 bomber, known as the Enola Gay, dropped the first atomic bomb on an inhabited area. The bomb named "Little Boy" was dropped over the center of Hiroshima, Japan. An estimated 140,000 people were killed.

1981 - Fire fighters in Indianapolis, IN, answered a false alarm. When they returned to their station it was ablaze due to a grease fire.

1985 - The 40th anniversary of the Hiroshima atomic bombing brought tens of thousands of Japanese and foreigners to Hiroshima.

1986 - William J. Schroeder died. He lived 620 days with the Jarvik-7 manmade heart. He was the world's longest surviving recipient of a permanent artificial heart.

1994 - Randolph County High School, in Wedowee, AL, was destroyed by fire. The principle's stand against interracial dating had caused much tension in the school.

1995 - Thousands of glowing lanterns were set afloat in rivers in Hiroshima, Japan, on the 50th anniversary of the first atomic bombing.

1997 - Apple Computer and Microsoft agreed to share technology in a deal giving Microsoft a stake in Apple's survival.

1998 - Former White House intern Monica Lewinsky spent 8 1/2 hours testifying before a grand jury about her relationship with U.S. President Clinton.

Slow history day.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
If a bus station is where a bus stops, and a train station is where a train stops, why do we have a work station on our desks?

Coffee is as ready as it ever will be. Ph00 is made in the hopes that the elusive Mr 5ver will appear.

when I was young and stupid, I got to sit in the electric chair from Auburn (special permission, escorted, restricted storage) and Green Haven (room was just ignored, everything was left untouched from last event) if you have ever seen the Green Mile movie with Tom Hanks, you can understand how creepy a piece of furniture can be.....no manufacturer wanted to be associated with making it, so both were handmade by prisoners.

anything atomic is creepy.....wow, what power we have.

Bark, take the cool! funny to think we went North to AK for the cold and it was 95 in fairbanks. we went to circle,AK for some relief....

backyard BBQ for Polar and Blake!!! I have raspberry wheat beer, baked a lemon cake and slow cooking a big pot of something special for my son.

not to be confused with Canuck scotty's big pot......

hearts and hugs out to ya Cincyeric, we want ya back to being you.

I got to do that too! It was in a bus tho. Some kind of display, probably from a police fair or something, I was real young, maybe 6 or so. I don't really remember WHY the bus was where it was, but I remember my father telling me if I wasn't a good boy, that's where I'd end up for real, and the guy running the display told me to try sitting in it so he could get a 'fit' for when I was older! And y'all wonder why I'm screwed up now!

Hey, the squitter is your state bird - - right. ............

As for the heat or cold, sorta depends what you are trying to do. If you want
to swim, I opt for the heat. If I am skiing, then the cold is nice - - as long as there is heat close by. Hmmm, seems I mentioned heat twice. ....

Ok, just saying boo - - off to do some more work.

Bob

on par with everything else.
a 6 pack will run you about $10 or so in a store, about that per 1/2 liter glass in a bar for the local Ringnes.
Wine and Spirits are even pricier, but most people pick up a few bottles in the duty free upon arrival.

I prefer the cold. Less scary for others that I put on a jacket to keep warm instead of taking off clothes to try and stay cool.....

Lunch munch time.

5er your iced mocha is on the top shelf of the fridge, so you don't have to bend to get it. Shorts, yours is in the bunch I put on the bottom shelf, colder there. Help yourseves.

Wannabe's back yard BBQ sounds like the place to head for.

Blake thanks for the trip update. Fun motoring in the country side. Do you stop and read the trivia markers along the way?

Was just handed an errand to run.

Have a good un and be safe out there.
