Mornin. Time to go lose about 5 pounds before weigh in. I'm good, just don't want to be close. Funny how weight is such a stigma for a guy that ran a perfect fitness test yesterday...
Just a few days left. Can't wait to get home with the fam.
Scott, hope your day is better than yesterday.

weighed 100 pounds most of my life, grew up with only guys till high school. pillow fights could be terminal....
the shaved leg comparison thingy.....tick{ not comfortable with that scenario
scott, yup mouse thing had me chuckling too. did the neighbor come over when you were on the mill shrieking? showing all of you logging boots...
what do you cut up anyways? you don't do wood for heat or building.
got a call last night to take another oversize log load from the mill, nice folks that think of us. had to really think if I wanted to accept them though....oh well. had to drop off a letter to a neighbor that has been encroaching on our land. move the stuff (half a building too) in thirty days or we do. wait and see how that goes...
better days to all O U DTR! out to finish projects and clean up more...

That's possible.
Well, this wasn't exactly the most productive day I've ever had. Was going to spend the day sawing logs... I got one done. First, the winch I use to turn the logs decided it didn't wanna operate anymore. Went and got a new one, had to make modifications to make it fit because I couldn't find one the same as what I had. Next, I found a mouse had made a nest in the throttle linkage assembly and wouldn't let me bring the engine up to speed. It didn't want to leave either! I ended up chasing the stoopid thing around the carriage and headrig until I finally soaked him with Brake Kleen than slammed him with a shovel after he staggered to the ground. Finally, after starting at 8AM, I actually started to saw around noon. Halfway thru sawing the first, (and what would turn out to be the last), log, the headrig decided it didn't wanna go up and down anymore. For some reason the motor that runs the whole mill isn't charging the battery anymore, so I threw a quick charge into the battery from the battery that runs the winch, (which was fully charged) and got the rest of the log done but by that point the battery was almost dead again and the headrig didn't want to raise. At this rate I might get thru my pile of logs by Christmas.
Yep, and apparently the day ain't over...
Just opened a box of CPR/1st Aid training books that the UPS guy delivered about 20 minutes ago. They're the old curriculum, not the new that they just came out with this year. The idiots at the National Safety Council strike again! Thank God I don't teach that many of their classes for them because there's always some screw up like this and they always wait until the last minute to ship materials to us. I guess the Michigan DEQ will be learning an out-dated standard tomorrow.
I don't really care I guess, but I like to at least TRY to do a decent job, y'know?

Morning!
lol I should have just forgot about the dolly altogether As for a metal cutter, I've debated the band saw v. chop saw. I see a lot of band saws on CL for decent prices. My only concern though with the vertical band saw is I don't have two hands to hold each side of my material. I'd almost want to build a Y shaped handle jig to hold the item as I push it through the blade. The horizontal band saws look pretty good at solving that. The other thing I want..err, need is a miter saw. I have my circular saw but well, you can never have enough tools.
Well folks, DH booked us a room tonight so I've gotta get myself together, drop the dog at the kennel and then spend the afternoon at the water park sippin' a cold beer, maybe a Skinny Margarita too. Tonight we're hitting a concert at the club and my girlfriend will be joining us there. Should be a busy day. I know, it sound really rough but someone has to do it.
Yall be good. I might check in later to taunt and tease

Mornin.
Weigh in was good, about 7 under, no sweat. (well, a lot of sweat, actually.) Don't forget a gallon of water weighs 8-ish pounds, sweat is more.
Gonna start packing stuff to get out of here... see ya'll later.

It hasn't been so far. Got the oil report back this afternoon for the Cat. STILL 6% oil dilution and that was with only 1850 miles on it. Hoping for bad injector O rings. We'll see.
Saw logs. Been cutting for the farm sign whenever I have time.

I wish I was as fine, as those who work the pipeline!

At least you din't hit yourself in the head with a truck and get a singer implanted in your ear.
