Tell me about it. You oughta try keepin' an uninsulated shop warm enough to paint when it's 15 degrees outside.

Oil. I won't have propane, seen too many explosions from it.

Maybe you need some chicken wire on the walls.

Tack weld it to the studs and put your sheddings behind it. All that fur keeps you warm.

We just sprayed our paint booths with fire retarted spray insulation. Seems to be working great from what the painters are telling me.. Kind of expensive though.

Ahh, I see! I thought it was to keep the big chunks of warm air from escaping.

Well, I'd love to hang out and chat all mornin', but I gotta get to work. Got a lot to do and I'm feelin' crappy, kinda removed, like somethin's missin', so it's gonna be a looong day!

Did you do this yourself or have it done?

You're right about being expensive. I've know a contractor down here that got into it. Even in the quantity needed for an average house it was 3+ times more expensive than fiberglass. With the economy like it is there's no telling what he's having to charge.

We did this ourselves. Bought it off the internet (I'll try to find the link) it came with everything we needed including instruction video. Our paint booth is 26ft x 16ft x 16 ft. cost a little over $2200. Just make sure you dont overspray your sprinkler heads like we did..

If you find the link I'd like to look at it. I think his trailer, set up ready to go was like 70k. A pretty pricey startup.
